Despite O’s apparent flaws both on and off the field, he clearly loves LSU and imo can continue to serve as a valuable ambassador to the program down the line, most importantly in recruiting.

Given that he has reached the pinnacle of his professional career and would have to downgrade significantly to take another HC job elsewhere, what are the chances he takes a year off then comes back on in a recruiting/ops role. Would love to see him involved in the program down the line but obviously could become a too many cooks in the kitchen situation

With the decisions he has made off the field, no o don't think he would be a good ambassador for LSU.

Also depending what comes out of the lawsuit against him in the title IX stuff, he may be even less of a good ambassador for LSU.

he loves money. He’s bad mouthed LSU for years before it became his 3rd dream job

Orgeron will have no affiliation with LSU (other than his continued payments) after this season is over

ETA: I’m not sure where this narrative comes from. They literally had to pay him the full buyout so he wouldn’t take them to court and air all the dirty laundry.

Say what you want about the man, but if you can’t tell that he loves the state of LA and LSU Football, you’re getting the wool pulled over your eyes

Exactly. Ed is trash. Always was, and always will be.

For the money he needs to both keep his mouth shut and stay away from anything LSU related. I don’t think he should still be coaching, talking to media in official capacity, or have any further access to systems and so on.

Unless Woodward is playing 3D Chess knowing Ed can’t help himself and will soon be caught in pics with another student worker or involved in something that voids remaining payments that is better spelled out in new agreement along with zero consequences for LSU I wouldn’t want him representing school from this point forward.

Go away.

He needs to be as far away from the program as possible.

And no he does not love LSU. He loves a paycheck. His whole love for LSU, dream job BS was the biggest lie he sold.

That is false. During the buyout payment period, O is obligated to make at least one appearance per year on behalf of LSU.

This is why I could see him staying an ambassador for the LSU program, but coming back to his roots in Natchitoches to coach NSU and revive the program where he played from obscurity. He could even bring his sons along to get them coaching experience. Natchitoches loves nepotism, so it’ll be a win win
