I'm the furthest thing from a politard and my post history proves it. By the same token I'm the furthest thing from a SJW. I dont want a team full of true believers in BLM or Qanon. If activism is the new face of college and/or pro sports I'll find something else to do with my weekends. And if LSU continues down its woke path it will be without my annual donation.
I never thought I'd say this, but I'm likely in the same boat with you. I just can't get on board and truly enjoy something if what I'm watching is completely against my own core beliefs as a human being. I'm sure there are plenty of folks who disagree and that's certainly their right. However, I personally don't think I can really and truly support something if they subscribe to something and push ideals that are so far away from what is important to me. At that point, it ceases being as enjoyable to me, and I have other things I can do in my leisure time that are enjoyable. Sports have always been an escape for me from the daily grind of life. I don't need politics and social justice narratives shoved down my throat while I'm trying to watch sports. If I want that, I can turn it on the news. These players may have a platform and they're more than welcome to use their platform to reach people who they want to reach or who want to be reached. I'm just not one of those people who want to be reached. I'm very aware of the issues and, quite frankly, don't need a college athlete (or any entertainer) to let me know anything.

Amen brother my weekends of watching football are about done if LSU caves to this leftist bs. I have been wanting a boat and its about time to get one. Sports has become a political shitshow now.

You're dumb as a rock if you think some players weren't thinking the same thing as them but just didn't say it because he's the coach.
And, IMO, those players are being ridiculous. First, what Orgeron said was about as benign a comment as possible. He was asked directly what he thought about Trump giving him compliments and that Trump supported playing football this year. Orgeron said what's akin to "coach speak." He would have said the same damn thing regardless of who was in office because it's the classy thing to do. But regardless of all that, let's say he does support Domlad Trump and will be voting for him. It is an indictment on society, not Orgeron, that someone supporting not just a political candidate but a sitting US president is considered insensitive. That's complete horseshite and anyone truly offended by someone voting for a certain candidate has some issues they need to reconcile. And if Trump wins (again), does that mean the majority of our country is wrong or does it mean maybe just maybe the sky screamers need to do some self reflection.

What makes you think he did this? And if you don't think he did or have anything to insinuate he did, why even post this?
Hell no I don’t believe he did this. But by his own comments, his mantra of “block out the noise” was taken by the team as him saying they need to ignore what’s going on in the world. Whatever the disconnect was between him and his team, it’s his job to go in and fix it and hopefully he has.

Get out ya feeling ya little baby. I don't care if he likes Trump or not. My issue is that he stumbled into an entirely predictable and avoidable situation.

What situation was that exactly? Answering a direct question from a media member and giving as bland a response as possible? LSU was also one of the first programs to "march." He didn't have a week like Saban to plan a march on a day they didn't have practice. LSU players simply skipped practice without saying anything and Orgeron was called about it after the fact. This picture also looks to be about half the team. What does that say about the rest of the players who weren't there? I also don't see any other coach. Do Kevin Faulk, Corey Raymond, and Mickey Joseph not care about black people?

If people continue to support pro sports or college sports after the shite show of the last few months I don’t know what to say. It’s obvious this is completely one sided and beliefs of that side are the only ones that matter.

I think they're going to find out pretty quickly that the support is not going to be what it once was if they continue down this path. There is so much divisiveness on what's going on, these organizations should realize taking any side is going to hurt them financially.

Going on Fox News in general should've been a worry after Gundy. Outside of the white house visit all coaches would be wise to consider Trump a 3rd rail topic right now.

We gonna play stupid and act like those three have to "prove it" to these black dudes? They're also not the head coach.

I see you ignored the rest of what I said. So predictable.

So politics are fine as long as they align with yours

This right here is all that really needs to be said.
We're going to tear ourselves apart as a society if we legit dislike each other because of political stances. If you disagree, you talk about it, and move forward. You don't hop on Twitter like a 16 year old and make back handed comments like Clark.

SIAP - can anyone confirm who Orgeron scolded in the beginning of his zoom call about printing info from sources without asking him directly? Looked like he was ready to throw hands.

I don’t think Orgeron gives 2 shits about anything other than LSU football and his players. Trump said he thinks football should be played this fall. Ergo, O said he thinks Trump’s doing a great job. At least that’s how I see it.

Yes, how are black criminals resisting arrest and being shot issues that affect his players?
