Whether we liked the hire or not we have to let it play out. Of course there can be legit concerns, raise them WHEN they happen is fine. Hammering away at the same old mistakes gets tiresome.

See this yet another example of why I think err know you are Ree because he says things like this where he is literally accusing another poster of exactly what he’s/you are doing.

BTW there is a difference between lying and being mistaken, it is my contention that you are Ree, I’ve stated why and given examples, if in the .000000001% chance that you aren’t I would be mistaken. But I wouldn’t expect a troll that has to rely on cherry picked data because he can’t support his guy otherwise to understand that

My question is, how much better a coach do people think we're going to get out of a guy that's 57? He's at peak form for him,

link? All he has to do is be the CEO of the program...no pun intended. If he recruits his arse off and improves LSU offensively this isn't the peak

The program was in a much better state Miles first 3 years so it’s an unfair comparison.

Based on what objective metrics? You can't just feelings as O pumpers are wont to do.

The better comparison is Miles last 3-4 years to Os first 3-4.

So compare what should be O's best to what was Miles' worst, and the grounds for which he was fired. That seems totally intellectually honest and not cherry picking at all.

the recruiting looks to be better than post 2012 (please note better doesn’t mean the overall recruiting under Miles was bad but you have to be willful ignorant to not see that it had slipped, ever so slightly, Miles last few years.

That sounds fine, but the objective rankings disagree.

He at least appears to be modernizing the offense.

His 2017 and 2018 offenses were worse than Miles' offenses even at the end of his tenure, again something that is backed up by objective data and statistics. Or does hiring one low-level offensive assistant qualify as "modernizing" the offense

God you're a fricking retard.

No, fool. You have made that assertion dozens of times without qualifying it as only opinion. Thus, you are a habitual liar. OWN IT!! You may as well. You'll never change. LOL

It's not worth it. It's a ton of nonsensical blather that you constantly post. You seriously aren't worth the time.

You even had the nerve to mention somebody else cherrypicking data.

You respond with that every time I say that I expect a championship. And every single time, without fail, I say that I would be so happy winning a championship that I'd start a thread and request a sticky to let anyone talk shite about me as much as they want.

The thing is that this particular season lines up for better than 10-2. We're favored in all but one game, and have a senior QB, upgrades at RB, as well as a more experienced o-line with a very manageable home/away schedule.

So let me get this straight.

After sky screaming for an hour the other day about how "unknown" that possibilities are for 2019, you crap all over yourself with this gem

This is so goddamn funny

Tell me again how none of this is really true again?

Everything we didn't have in 2018 yet still won 10.

We can start with being only 1 year removed from a NC instead of 9 or 5 playing for it. We also had 2 SEC titles in 4 years vs had won 1 in 5.

Next just look at the roster. If all you do look at is the “recruiting” rankings and never bother to re-evaluate once we’ve seen them play then your metrics are worthless. The 2003-2004 classes are objectively 2 of these best in school history.

Where are you getting what should be Os best from? Why should his first 3 years be his best? Because those were Miles best? That makes no sense.

The longer he coaches, the more data we will have and we can make better comparisons. Right now record wise it’s about the same but he did better last year than the year before and had the highest finish since 2011. There are expectations for this season and if he doesn’t meet them he should be criticized but we should wait until the season plays out.

quote:

That sounds fine, but the objective rankings disagree

Overall yes and the 2018 class was a disappointing finish but the current recruiting looks like it could be special. But again we will have to wait and see how things play out. You some highly ranked guys in 15 and 16 that flamed out.

Last year we finished 38 vs 43 in 2015. 2015 we did have a generational RB plus Guice. To finish 38!with the obvious lacking personal should be encouraging.

goldfish changes his position more often than Damone brushes his tooth

He picks any position day to day to make our football team look the worst. It's so predictable.

Yesterday it was theres no evidence that we will improve, today its we will be so good that 11-2 is underachieving.
