It seems to me Orgeron and some people are acting as though this game with Rice is a scrimmage against a team of blind players. This is somewhat disconcerting. I understand wanting redshirt players to get some game experience, but approaching the game and openly saying this is part of the game plan seems a little arrogant and over confident. If I was a coach or player for Rice I'd feel overlooked, disrespected and insulted. Most fans may see that Rice isn't very good, their record is horrible, and may think this game will be a laugher. But the players for Rice were all good enough to get scholarship offers to a college football team. LSU should approach every game with the same intensity, the same mental focus, the same respect of the opponent. I doubt you'd ever hear Saban talking like this before playing an opponent.

I get the mentality, but Rice is historically bad. It doesnt really matter what lsu does in this game, they will win by alot

If LSU lost to Rice , the rant would evaporate.

You would still have an excuse why Orgeron shouldn't shoulder any of the blame.

And if LSU won a NC you'd still be crying about a shrimp boat captain.

Well, here is what he said Monday at his press conference...
quote:

“Listen, man. We learned our lesson last year and that’s not going to happen to us again,” Orgeron said. “So we’re going full bore against these guys.”

But, maybe you're right and they're taking Rice too lightly.

I don't think I've once refered to Orgeron as a shrimp boat captain. Nor have I ever said he was doing a terrible job this season, or should be fired.

Keep on with your stupidity though.

Sometimes I wonder if this is a board to discuss LSU sports or Alabama football.

You popped off first to start this conversation so don't lose sight of your stupidity that began it. You've always been against the coaches so don't pretend that you're not a nega.

We need a Les Miles/Saban Board. I’d visit that as much as the Gaming Board

Uhhhh.....some people have called Rice the worst team in the FBS. Why would you risk hurting #40 or any other impact player in the starting O/D? Doesn’t make any sense, plus it’s exciting to see what these young players can do and rest up for the A&M game. Chill bro, we may not win by 42 but LSU will coast through this game with 3rd string if they needed to.
