A lot of hype surrounding the 2019 LSU Football Fighting Tigers from fans and LSU's head coach which just aired on the SEC Network, yet Orgeron keeps it very real about the challenge he faces. Notes that LSU has the superb team leader that it will need in Burrow, a QB that he trusts who can finish games and that LSU has the most overall depth that he's seen since he arrived. Despite all his and everyone else's praise for the 2019 LSU football program, Orgeron pointed to the one major challenge that he needs to overcome this season as LSU's head coach, "we have to beat Alabama." Could not have stated it any better Coach O.

Stop fricking scheduling the off week before that game and prepare like any other game and maybe Bama won’t live in LSU’s heads and they might play competitively.

I think the off week works as a disadvantage right before Alabama. Move it to a different place.

Then LSU needs more influence, as in the new AD.

I’ve said this for five years.

Actually and many probably disagree, but that is not the proper approach. The season doesn’t start or end with the gumps. Putting to much emphasis one game causes let downs after and teams to play tight. We have witnessed that for the past 8 years.

Pretty sure that is incorrect.

LSU could schedule game a week before tGumps if they wanted.

O hasn't beaten Bama. There's your difference.

Hmmm, interesting.

So the fans say it, we're obsessed with Bama.

He says it, I'm sure it's ok.

BS. Miles would spin endlessly on how beating the gumps wasn't a huge deal.

Too much emphasis on Bama. Of course the game is important but that all or nothing mindset just makes us play tight.

It's ok to say LSU championships start with beating Alabama!

Miles had more chances, though that's a weak comeback.

You know gumps are reading this and probably jacking off into their annual magazine projections...no?

Hmm, some people seem to think otherwise.

Exactly. Both teams have the week before off.

The advantage is that one side has been superior in scouting and preparation. If both sides had played the week before, this still would have been the case.
