He has created the ultimate location for baseball players.....and the NIL program has magnified the results. Some can make more in college than single A ball....College baseball is going to be loaded with talent moving forward.....we are already seeing it.

He really is relentless. IDGAF what people think of Woody, landing JJ and Mulkey puts him in all time AD discussions.

Decent slash line and power. Strikes out a lot, doesn’t walk, and is a bad fielder. Feels like whoever hits better between he and Reaves will play 26% K rate 66 K vs. 30 BB 12 errors, .889 fielding % Also hit into 11 DPs
We just won our 2nd Championship in 3 years. Trust Jay to identify the potential, lol. You are not looking at his potential future numbers but his past numbers.

Well he better learn how to field a ground ball cause he couldn’t this year. I watched him take infield from sec 218 every home game he was one of the worst defensive players I have seen try and play infield in a long time. Watched him warm up in Omaha he booted 3 outta 5 hit to him during infield. Was so bad my wife even noticed said even John fields groundballs better than reaves.

Two sports no one cares about while he made the worst hire of all time in McMahon and BK is a bust so far. Sure, goat.

No, Simpson will be playing for LSU next season

Buddy you better erase that LSU symbol by your name because you ain’t no damn real LSU fan by stating college baseball is a sport no one cares about.

This is an idiotic statement, your hate for Woodward iis your own problem. 12,000 at The Box shows that you don't speak for everyone, just a few Half-arse fans

Seems you don’t know jack shite about LSU pal. Baseball doesn’t have the numbers of football but show me a fan base in college that shows up more for its team than LSU baseball.

He has serious fielding issues at 3rd. Moving him to second would probably make that worse.

You’re getting downvoted a lot but I was reading the similar thing. OSU folks hate to lose him, but also said besides the last bit of the season he was somewhat of a liability at 3B.
Most saying the raw high potential is there and it was his confidence.
Who are they though? I trust Jay! Great addition!

__________
Brayden Simpson is no slouch and will get a look. Competition is going to be fierce at several positions.

Batting Average/On-Base Percentage/Slugging Percentage
________
Sure he can. He will have competition with Seth Dardar and others. We are deep in the infield now.

For context, this is basically Ethan Frey from this past season:
23% K%
10% BB%
Also, from May 1st - end of season (22 games), he only made 2 errors and fielded .953

Explain to me how putting him at 2nd would make it worse?
The ball will take longer to get to him at 2B thus giving him a better chance to field the ball and its a shorter throw to 1B. At 3B the ball gets on you quicker that's why they call it the hot corner.

Because you need to be more athletic to play 2nd. You have to cover a lot of ground and be able to make backhand plays behind 2nd as well as field balls ranging into shallow right field and get a good throw off. Be quick turning dbl plays. Playing 3rd for the most part is one step right or left and throw. Even charging balls is mostly straight forward. It’s why Jacob Berry, Tommy White, John Pearson can play 3rd but not 2nd.

2nd base is the easiest position to play on the field
