Yeah, it's about even (the dline). Our oline goes 302, 292, 291, 300, 325 and LSU's like 340/325 on the bookends and I know that blackwell and longeran go like 290/300 and I believe the other guard is like 305. So, ours is like 302 across and yours like 312.

Reading helps you understand what is being asked. Last I checked in '09 no one voted for Luck as the Heisman candidate and he didn't have a career day throwing.
Check the video a few pages back. Was it that great passing offense that allowed Gerhart to break all those tackles? I forgot, you guys are the steel curtain and any time someone gashes you it is just because they were lucky or they set a record on the ground because of their passing offense. Look at Luck's stats, not otherworldly passing. 12/20 251 12.6 2Tds. Looks like they could just do whatever they wanted with you. Ever thought that maybe the five loss team just beat you up?

Without looking at the stats he was like 15/21 for like 254 yards. That is a guess. He was throwing dimes, dude. Try again. Fail.
Edited: he was 12/20 251 2 tds and no interception. He dropped some dimes in that game.

Yeah he killed you. It certainly wasn't the big white guy with 220 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns. Definitely the respect for Luck. Hopefully since then you have figured out that when someone is plowing over you, you might want to quit focusing on the passing game. Looks more like a coaching Fail.
ETA: Look at that time of Possession
Possession Oregon 22:17 Fighting Trees 37:43
That no huddle can be a bitch.

Or is your prediction assuming such a performance and a terrible passing game?
My prediction, since this is the opener, is based on past history and the "knowns". It would be hard to project, say, Ware and Ford each breaking 100 yards. If that actually happens, LSU probably wins going away, on the order or 42 to 20. I'm assuming an inconsistent offense, not necessarily a terrible one - missed reads, routes broken off, false starts, illegal procedure, delay of game, just off-season rust stuff, on LSU's part.
I'm assuming that, scheme-wise, LSU contains Oregon in the first half and at the end of the game. Oregon's best chance is after making some halftime adjustments against a possibly tired LSU defense.

Luck stretched the defense. He was very instrumental in Gerhart getting the 220. Likewise, Stanford was coming of age and we just came off the biggest arse whoopn' that USC had taken in a decade. That was very much a trap game.

I think another misnomer that floats around a lot is the size of WR corp. It will be a very physical unit.

Don't forget that was LMJ first year of getting real experience and Masoli at QB.
On a side note that is probably the highest T.O.P. for the Ducks the whole year.

No one is disputing Oregon has good skill players, but how can you run or set and pass when you're getting hit in the backfield? Oregon is SOFT...I said it.
This statement actually skirts the edges of reason. While the Va Tech game has nothing whatever to do with the upcoming contest against the feared Ducks, I think that relatively speaking, UO is SOFT. They are more likely to get stuffed than take flight.

Oregon scored their last TD on AU b/c the ref threw a great block and allowed a huge play. It would have been a tackle for a short gain.
They if that play is stopped they punt and Oregon on scores 11 pts on AU's "great d".
This was on 3rd down too.

At the end of the day, you will struggle to manage the line of scrimmage and that will be your undoing.
You won't consistenly keep our dline out of your backfield; your dline will have breakdowns versus our running game that will be costly.
But that's not all.
Our back 7 are absolutely superior athletes and superbly coached and prepared. Better than you faced versus Auburn.
They will attack and swarm to the ball and neither your running nor your passing game will be nearly as effective as you had hoped. At least not beyond the middle of the 1st quarter.
You will take an early lead. However, we will adjust to your style of play by the 2nd quarter and you will execute less and less effectively than you need to to maintain that early lead.
Our offense will begin to gather momentum and take the lead going into the half.
We extend our lead to 14-17 points in the 3rd.
You find a new wrinkle or 2 which allow you to draw near, so people have the sense that it was a close game.
But in the end we win by 10-14 and it really won't have been all that close.
Not really.
