As per Pro Football Reference.com, Pendergast's 4-3 defense averaged 15th in the NFL across 16 separate statistical measures over the 5 years (04 - 08) that he was the Cardinal's DC.

The Card's offense averaged 17th in the NFL.

Over that 5 year period, the Cardinal D averaged 16 in interceptions, 9 in fumbles recovered, 13 in drives ending in a score, 12 in drives ending in a turnover, 9 in drive time of possession, 12 in plays run per drive, 13 in yards allowed per drive and 19 in points allowed per drive.

Pendergast's record across the 16 statistical records over the 5 year period did not produce any pronounced trend, one way or the other, but fluctuated across all measures, from year to year.

His 2008 Cardinals defense won division and conference championships, before losing the Super Bowl to the Steelers.

He pulled his fricking hamstring; he did not tear it; he will compete for playing time when fully healthy.
Pulled, not torn. My bad.

Exactly why he was held out of the scrimmage. Nobody knows if he's practicing, or not.
Dupre is having a hard time getting off of the line because of his torn hamstring.

When he is fully healed, then Dupre will be right back in the mix. He has excellent size, speed, hands, discipline, plus he can get vertical.

A 6'4" guy with his attributes, who also can get up the way that he can is an almost impossible match up.

$3.5MM and a guy like Dixon is a Saban-like hire, which means the Athletic Department, with the Administration's blessing, is making a clean break with the past.

Dixon, or some other $3.5MM man, doesn't need Collis Temple or Dale Brown or Shaq to to say grace over his every move. He calls his own shots.
Lure Quin Snyder away from the Laker's bench. The only one in Coach K's tree who's worth a damn. He was at Missou long enough to know KC, StL and Tx, young and charismatic enough to recruit and a damn good x-o guy.
I don't believe that anyone is leaving.

In Trent Johnson we hired a man of integrity, one who has credibility with the NCAA and is guaranteed to run a clean program and graduate student athletes.

He has the support of the administration and is being given the opportunity to bring in quality talent and compete, but without allowing any shady dealings to go on, whatsoever.

This next hire will be the recruiter/motivator we need to bring in top kids and energize the bench.

However, trust that Coach will keep the choke collar on until he fully trusts the process, but we will begin to get much stronger classes and compete at the top of the conference, where we belong.

Hang in there, Tiger basketball fans. Better times lay ahead. And we're going to do this the right way and create a program of which we can all be proud.

He needs 15 lbs of muscle and a couple thousand balls, this summer. Work it!

We'll gamble on defense this time around, contrary to what we did in BDS and will be gunning for McCarron...like we were for Murray.

McCarron will suffer at the hands of our defense, especially if he is standing around back there waiting for deep routes to open up.

I can't wait to laugh at his pain, fricking little bitch that he is.
You struggled on the road against subpar vandy and ole miss. Struggled.

Bama crushed you like a bug.

LSU does not need its best game to beat you by 14; you absolutely need your best game to keep it that close.

frick arkansas.

Les is the best boss in football. Period.

Bringing Henson and Monken back; letting Gonzalez go.
Monken's limited resume at the time. Miles knew that he had a team that would make a run and he needed someone like Pelini, an experienced heavyweight choice, to balance out the staff.

The key to this game for the Tigers is moving the chains on offense.

Besides using our size, strength and quickness to disrupt the flow of the Duck offense at the line of scrimmage and stopping the run (force the issue, make'em throw at our back 5), we can best manage their offense through ball control.

We sustain drives, flip the field and force the Ducks to throw, then the Tigers will win.
