While this won't go down as the most significant accomplishment in LSU history, by a long shot, it is the most improbable that I can remember.

You had to have several guys do things that they haven't done all year, just to even have a competitive regional after losing game 1. To win it, though... Freakin' awesome!

Proud of the guys. That's what championship heart looks like, no matter how this season ends. It will be something to build off of. And, who knows? Maybe they keep it going into Omaha. I haven't forgotten that Fresno State won a national championship with about one and a half good pitchers. You never know.

Guess who ended up pitching....marceaux downvoting bitches. Making me feel like it was a stupid thought

When Mainieri mentioned a possible "surprise", I knew he was talking about Marceaux. He gutted it out, which is obviously great, in hindsight. I really thought Fontenot should have pitched the 9th, though. Marceaux wasn't sharp at all in the ninth, and it just felt like we were riding on sentimentality with our ace instead of going to a guy who was significantly less worn out.

Whatever the case, I'm just glad they got through it and got it done.

I’d argue that Marceaux was sharp until 1) Doughty’s error compiled with 2) the next better getting down 0-2 and fighting back to a full count before hitting a single. After that, it looked like he was struggling.

We should have made the switch after he gave up the single.

Well that error was actually called a hit, but regardless it was hit pretty hard, and I just thought he was struggling, in general, to put hitters away. After the second hit, I was certain he would go to Fontenot. I really don't know why he didn't, but I'm glad we can sit here and not talk about it costing us the game.

We scored 9 runs to knock out the 1-seed host team with the season on the line and Dylan Crews did not have a hit. That was a fun and nutty game. Dugas and Bianco really delivered!

Well, when you are wrong, you admit it!

I was wrong and gave LSU zero chance to advance....I eat my posts of "2 and Q"

Happy for the team!
