I think he has done a good job, especially bouncing back from the Troy debacle. Obviously it never should have happened

You are way more of a "O" negative supporter than you post, most of your "O" post are smartly on the fence leaning toward negative but hedging your bet trying not to excite the "O" supporters.

Say what is on your mind and get off the fence.

The Troy loss is so past history, let it go and move on as most athletes learn to do.

I wanted him to walk in with a plan like Mullen, Fisher or Herman. Not throw shite at a wall each year and see what sticks.

But LSU did finish the season 6th and ahead of all these coaches.

Good post OP. I was not thrilled with the hire at the time, but I put myself in the wait and see.

The first time I said to myself he might be winning me over is when he said "frick dem" after beating Auburn.

Then he beat UGA and won a fiesta bowl. Lot on the line this year for Coach O though. We can't take a step back with this team.

Ok.

Are you disputing that the program is in better shape now than it was the day we fired Miles?

Les Miles last full season as coach: 9-3, would have been 10-3 if all games had been played.

Ed Orgeron's best record at LSU so far: 10-3.

Can we at least wait for Orgeron to show he is better than the end of Miles' tenure here before we start any more of these threads?

Miles wasn’t fired for going 9-3

He was fired for losing 5 of his last 9 games

The day he was fired we were 2-2 and unranked

I guess that all depends on Brennan, doesn’t it?

He has done better than I thought he'd do. With that being said, I still have some reservations about his in game abilities. I support him, I don't want him to fail at all, I've given him credit when it's due, I have no problem with doing that. But I do have some concerns as we get into another season.

He has improved every season so far, at least just as far as wins/losses are concerned. I'd like to see that continue.

This team is absolutely loaded this season so barring injuries, there should be no excuses to not be in the running at the end of the season.

There's always the Bama game, that's sort of the measuring stick to any season here. It was always circled before O was the HC, there's no reason it shouldn't be held to the same importance with O as the HC (not saying anyone is saying that, just thinking out loud so to speak).

That Texas game is a big test very early on for both teams. We win that, and I think we will, people will start to watch a little closer. Not just fans here, I'm talking the media as well. That kid Ehlinger is no slouch though. Need to not take him for granted.

But there's always at least one game that we tend to slip up on. Not saying we lose the game but we come out flat, not really into the game from the start. Last season it happened with La Tech, it sure happened with Southeastern, even with a horrible Arkansas team. Stop playing down to these "lesser" teams. Even if that's what they are, come out like you did when we played UGA. Put them away. That's one of my concerns.

But as I said, he gets better records every season so far, let's continue that and stop with playing down to opponents. Use the weapons you have on that sideline. That's why you recruit these kids.

This year sets up nicely, but to say now or never is not true.Bama's schedule is shameful and is as easy as a schedule can be while playing in the West.I will be disappointed if we lose more than one,and that loss can't be Bama.

Here is my problem. We could win the National Championship this year and you would find a way to not give credit to O. And that’s a fact.

Only thing I gather from this is that you don't know what a fact is.

I think comments such as these are a tacit admission that you don't think he'll get that done, so you have to pose this as a hypothetical.

That said, if he wins a NC you'll be proven right. Let's see if that happens.

Coach O is getting his chance. He is doin well with it as well. Just look at the progression since he took over mid season when miles was let go. He has brought us to a top 3 class, with potential to get better, and he has us coming off of a big time Fiesta bowl win. Our first ny6/bcs caliber bowl game in a while. He will continue this upward trajectory and I don't see it being much time until LSU is in atl for the title game and in the playoffs honestly. I just don't see this train slowing down at all. He is building something great here. Geaux tigers.

This year is the year. If he doesn’t make the SECCG or CFP with this year’s team, he never will.

We will never have a better setup between returning/incoming talent and favorable schedule than 2019.

Yep.

I'm okay with where the program is. But let's not pretend we are somewhere we're not. The last two years were just like the 4 before it...average to slightly above avg.

I refuse to concede Joe Brady as a good hire before seeing it on the field. And I'm definitely not sold on Ensminger.

Hoping it's the right move.

How many times are we going to say "give him a chance?" We're 3 years into this thing.
You didn't give him a chance in year 1. You want so bad to say you were right. The man has went above and beyond expectations so far. We have a great coach and he is being paid half of what Tamu is paying their high profile coach.

Yep. I've never worried about O not changing. Its 'what' he is changing to is the question.

Stop with this bullshite. No one wants LSU to lose just to say they were right. It makes you look petty.
