Opinion of Alabama sports writer (I don’t share his opinion)

Both teams have beaten ranked opponent, but Washington was better than Miami (ok, maybe true)
Both teams feature transfer QBs, but Stidham has the clear edge. (Edge maybe-clear edge no)
Both teams have a shaky offensive line, but the big difference is in the competition they will face. Auburn’s Dline is one of the best in the country, while LSU’s-while a team strength-isn’t in the same category. (Not so fast Bama boy, I beg to differ)
Both teams have highly respected defensive coordinators, however Kevin Steele has the best defense in the SEC, if not the country. (Really?)
Conclusion, look for a double digit Auburn win, not another epic matchup. (I’m drawing a different conclusion)

Maybe he shares a biased opinion just like you do.

How do you share that without a link?

LOVE the people sleeping on this defense! Bouta put Stidham on his arse. That'll shut up this "clear edge" crap.

Disagree except for the edge rushers. LSUs front 7 is better IMO. But Auburn’s is good.
Auburn’s OL isn’t as shaky as LSUs. So, this matchup could still be an edge for Auburn.

This is laughable.

I tend to agree.

What do you expect from a sportswriter that lives in Alabama?
Still looking for that outside affirmation?

Lol.
Steele isn't even in the conversation when discussing best DCs in the country unless it was started by an Auburn fan.

1 lead a team to the SECCG and has 16 starts with his current team completing 67% of his passes with 20 TDs and 6 Ints. The other has 2 starts is completing 48% of his passes including 10-20 vs an FCS team looks like a pretty clear edge

True but if you remember Stidhams first 3 or4 games at Auburn, he looked like shite and got sacked constantly.

Everything he said is pretty accurate. AU was in a gut check situation with another top 10 (UW). Miami is maybe top 25 but I kinda doubt it.
Stidham is a high NFL pick, Burrow looks a little shaky at times.
AU's OL and LSU OL both are big and strong but AU may have a little experience edge. LSU is sorta youthful although good looking on the hoof.
AU Dline is in another league. Likely as good as anyone. Clear edge over LSU here.
Kevin Steele's teams tackle mister and are always in the right spots. LSU has a good one too. Not a lot of an edge either way.
AU should win and it wouldn't surprise if they win by 2 touchdowns. But it could come down to a close victory. For me I keep thinking AU closes it out in the 4th quarter.

How exactly is that relevant to this week?

The actual quote:
quote:
But how did their first two starts compare? In a win over Georgia Southern and a loss to Clemson last year, Stidham was a combined 27-for-38 (71 percent) for 264 yards with two touchdowns and one interception (plus a rushing touchdown). In wins over Miami and Southeastern Louisiana, Burrow is a combined 21-for-44 (47.7 percent) for 291 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions (plus a rushing touchdown). In terms of efficiency at least, the clear edge goes to Stidham.
