Got a question; when did the oooeeeoooo chant start? Did LSU start that and are there any other college teams that use it, becuz I have never heard it any where else. Thks

Yep u do know that , but was it LSU fans that started this? Does anyone else use it and do LSU fans Chang this at basketball games, if anyone knows. Maybe no body knows who started it.

Mid 90’s it was being done. I don’t recall if it was done before that though.

That didn’t happen, or if it did it was very brief before my time.

That’s what someone told me at least. Not the worlds best sauces.

Since the early ‘90s (at least), whenever the Tuba players would have a sectional, they would play the O-E-O chant as they walked to the sectional and back.

Prior to this being played at the end of Coda Fight after a touchdown and before kickoffs, the band would end the Fight Song, and the tubas would just hold the note until kickoff and when the ball was kicked, the entire band would play a chord.

In the fall of 1997, on the road at Mississippi State, the Tubas (not full band), played O-E-O after a TD for the first time. Beginning the following week, it was incorporated as part of the standard Tiger Band repertoire.

The “You Suck” chant followed several years after that. Don’t know exactly when.
