Not sure why that's relevant but If you actually watched any film of players it's pretty easy to differentiate the elite players from the others. That's why there are only around thirty 5 stars every year and not 200.

Ok.... that's great... that has nothing to do with how they will do on the college level....

Not at all. I welcome it. But to continually bash the coach based on what happened over 10 years ago after the changes he has made at LSU is a little more than a subtle variation - which is what the definition of nuance is.

Questioning a coaching hire and the past failures of said coach doesn't equate to wanting him to fail.

No it doesn't. But continually bashing him and everything about him over five months after he has been on the job is wanting him to fail. Do we need to review some of your posts in this thread?

Which one of these hires/extensions do you think is a bad move? I not asking to judge, am just curious what move Coach O has done that you disagree with.

I like all of his moves thus far, but I'm not dense enough to say he is a good head coach based on off-season hires.

You're the same guy that thinks Tom Herman sucks because he lost to SMU, so I don't know how you keep defending CEO by rattling off stupid crap like assistant hires or interim records, as if they're relevant.

Bashing everything about him? You are such a sensitive little guy. All I've said is he was an abysmal failure at Ole Miss (fact) and has never been offered a D.C. job at a major program, let alone a head coaching job at one until LSU (also facts). I've never said anything about him as a person. I don't have reason to believe he's anything but a good guy. Sorry if I offended you by questioning his highly-checkered coaching resume and his coaching acumen. It's what people do on sports message boards involving their favorite sports team. They discuss coaching hires by said team

But let's stop with the, he's going to let his coaches coach bull shite as a reason LSU is going to go on an even better run under him.

You know this for certain huh? ok.....

That is part of a head coaches job. I'm glad you're not dense enough to fall for the façade that CEO had built by making his great hires.

Oh man, I love Macho Man. He is a coach I will follow in the future and I have never followed coaches before.

by the way I think he sucks because according to 24/7 he, by far, had the most talented team in his conference and finished in sixth place. He lost to Navy, SMU (yes, SMU) and Memphis. Great job by a coach with the most talented team, BY FAR !!!

Recruiting circles around Macho Man, hiring the only offensive Broyles Award candidate, extending Aranda and hiring the #1 ranked recruiter in the nation is irrelevant??? Is finishing in 6th place in the AAC with the most talented team also irrelevant???

More championship rings than fingers on one hand? If we're talking Les he has 1 NC ring and I guess you can count 2 SECCG rings.. Larry Coker had more hardware

Dude, you need to talk to your hero - Macho Man. I aint got nothing for you.

Here's a picture for you:
MACHO, MACHO MAN !!!

"You can tell a macho, he has a funky walk
his western shirts and leather, always look so boss
Funky with his body, he's a king
call him Mister Ego, dig his chains
You can best believe that, he's a macho man
likes to be the leader, he never dresses grand"

Here's a video of your hero totally destroying a wall with his sledgehammer. I was very impressed

Nope, talking about the current LSU head coach. He won 2 titles at Miami - one with Jimmy Johnson and one with Dennis Erickson. He won 2 at USC - I believe both were with Pete Carroll.

You still can't point to anything Coach O can do as an actual head football coach, other than Ole Miss. Like I already said, I'm pleased with what he has done so far, but Herman accomplished more in 2 years at Houston than O did anywhere, thus far.

I'm not even trying to be critical of Coach O, but his record is what it is.

what? hiring the best staff you can and managing by results is revolutionary?

Find me another P5 staff that pays its HC 3.5mil ( overpaid by the way) and its coordinators 1.5-2mil a piece...that's revolutionary. It's a different model than P5 has seen in the age of the high profile HC.

You are telling me this model exist?

He has kissed more football players than Coach O has over his 30 something years coaching. That's got to count for something, RIGHT???

Macho man finished in sixth place in his conference with the most talented team. I'm new to this football stuff, Is that good?

Do you want me to post another picture of Macho Man with his sledgehammer? I can if you want.

Orgeron has no hardware then. He's been an abject failure as a HC. fricking Joe Vitt has a Super Bowl ring. Guess he's qualified too
