You act like I was the one that went and got Joe Burrow after the spring game.

I imagine that came after a month of practice

I'm pretty sure you were making judgements after last years spring game

But hey, none of that nonsense this year, huh?

We had a coach that never adjusted to how teams defended us that you wanted fired

This staff has changed coaches and schemes in order to be more competitive but you are worried they won’t be able to make adjustments to what teams are doing to us defensively?

At least Ricky knows what scheme brings us the biggest chance for success...I really thought you would have sided with his thoughts on offense but apparently you all of a sudden won’t admit that the offense you wanted was more like Saturday’s than Canada’s

Do all of the OL's LOVE James Cregg?

What does Joe Brady think of JC as an OL coach and the blocking schemes he runs?

What does Joe Brady think of the current OL talent at LSU? (Is it "Good Enough" to elevate the Offense to an SEC West Championship?)

I don't think there are very many LSU Alums/Fans out there that are really interested in anymore 2nd and 3rd place SEC West finishes. (Though I know that all the Pump Lump Cheerleader MA's don't mind 2nd's and 3rd's )

Dude our own coach was making judgments last Spring - he realized we were in a major predicament on offense, seeing as he went out and got a graduate transfer QB who immediately stepped in and started.

Now we seemingly at least have our offensive personnel squared away, but there's no telling what kind of strides we can or will make on the offensive side of the ball with the addition of Brady.

Fans after last spring game: "We need a new QB"
Shrubber: "Chicken Littles! We're fine!"

Coach gets new QB after spring game
Shrubber: "Shrewd move coach."

It's anti O, not pro Canada. There were no pro Canada fans after the MSU game in 2017

What is your point then?

Would you agree it is premature to say that our offense is going to be awesome this year? I don't see how you could disagree, given that everything we've read is that they were holding back/the offense isn't totally installed, etc.

That certain people claim you can't judge a spring game when they clearly did last year? Seems incredibly obvious to me.

Coaches have a month of practices to pick apart

Possibly. But with talent upgrades + experience + obvious new wrinkles, I certainly believe it's appropriate to be high on the possibilities

It was obvious pretty we were in trouble at the QB position last year, no? And we did go out and immediately get a grad transfer, no?

I do agree with the general sentiment that you shouldn't try and glean a ton from a spring game. But that doesn't mean you can't take ANYTHING away from a spring game.

Another year. Another round of preseason hype.
After 11 years, I'll believe it when I see it.

You're going to have to point me in the direction of someone defending Canada like he is "some offensive god."

I don't believe anyone but Tiger Ree and his "HE WAS A BROYLES CANDIDATE" campaign before 2017 has ever even hinted at him being an "offensive god", whatever that means.

What? No

I take it as "maybe we shouldn't read too, too much into what we see in the spring game with respect to how our offense works and operates this coming season".

Good, we are on the same page. I was encouraged.

I see what you’re saying but it also gives us a good glimpse of what to expect since the plays and formations we saw will likely be the foundation of our offense

Sure. It's fair to judge what type of offense we will see. The question is always proficiency.
