On Finebaum, "Ga played a team with better players and better coaching"

On Finebaum just now, Mike Griffith, a sports reporter in Atlanta for the GA. Bulldogs and recognized as the top beat reporter in the SEC, was asked about Ga's loss to LSU.
Griffith noted that Ga was undefeated, and was winning against teams despite showing some deficiencies. But against LSU, Griffith noted, "Ga played a team with better players and better coaching."
Nice to see the LSU coaching staff gaining respect in the toughest conf in all of college football.

Florida. Not so much
ETA: losing to Florida might’ve been a blessing in disguise. Wake up call

If LSU could only win one of those two games the GA game was a much better option than Fla. Sitting at a solid 5th in both polls. Wouldn't be the case if the games were flipped.

Aranda has already had respect.
O is showing that he is nothing like what his record at Ole Miss says. He's a very good head coach now. He's earned it with me and probably all of our fanbase at this point. Can't deny it anymore.

"Pawwl" frowned at the thought LSU was well coached. The Bama bias runs deep in him.

the coaching difference was highly noticeable.
Funny, considering all off season we were told O should be winning faster because the almighty Kirby Smart was winning so fast

Not funny if you're a Ga fan.

Orgeron has shown that you can improve. Still questions about the fueling. I hope he learned from the Florida game

better coaching.
quote:Only because of 2015-2017 recruiting classes. We have another 2018 class of 3 star specials, UGA will pass LSU in the talent department.
better players

Not sure what game you watched, was liquor involved?

I mean.. if I HAD to pick one to lose I'd pick Florida, just because I know this is a better team if it beats Georgia. but rankings still don't mean shite. being #5 at this point is meaningless, especially with 1 loss against a EAST contender regardless of who it is. I think it's more important for FLA to win the EAST now. Having to beat GA again will bring back repressed memories of 2011. This team needs to get that intangible monkey off of their back before they undertake beating a highly ranked team twice in one season.

Is he saying LSU's players and coaches are better than Georgia's or that LSU's players and coaches are better than the teams Georgia played previously this year?

N
There is a difference between "better coaching" and being "better prepared". LSU was better prepared for THIS game, but I doubt you will find many people who will suggest EO is a better HC than KS.

And yet year after year posters here are still listening watching and posting about that tool.

He and the staff outcoached Kirby and his staff in the only game theyve played against each other. Whether people choose to believe O is a better coach is on them. In their only head to head, O outcoached him. Proof is in the pudding.

Gotcha. So Neal Brown > Ed Orgeron > Kirby Smart.
Troy got a hell of a steal
