BDP can have a dual role, he can deliver the big recruits in Texas, and deliver the lunch.

I cant imagine all of them are because some are going to lose their jobs.

Among those?
BDP
Ensminger is willing go back to TE coach
Jaluke - a maybe depending on hire
Grimes - I have no idea

I think all Defense guys are in good shape

I'm guessing Juluke is both safe from being let go and will choose to stay. He's a good RB coach and LSU always needs RB coaches and an excellent recruiter with local connections.

Could be something behind the scenes, you never know. But I would doubt it.

So....LSU doesn't need to hire a LB coach? We're happy with the former grad assistant?

It was the same for Archer. Now there are inherent differences so it's not completely analogous I understand, but it looked good early under Mike, we did go 10-1-1 and finish No. 5 Archer's first year an tied for first in the SEC his second.

Miles of difference between that situation and the current one. Archer didn't have near the high caliber staff nor the ability to gather the number of high caliber recruits.

Grimes did ok considering all the shuffling due to injuries.. He's recruited very well the last few years and has a 5* OT committed now who with O hired will stick if grimes stays. I think grimes should get one more year to develop the young studs we have now.

Did Aranda say he was happy O is the man, or everyone else on staff did?

The staff that LSU fans like to say are the best assistants in the country are happy, and LSU fans now say those assistant coaches are just covering their arse. Sounds about right.

Coach O will be more diligent about the 2017 staff than Miles was about the the 2016 staff.

I'm betting BDP isn't too excited.

According to what Corey Raymond told ESPN reporters, the coaching assistants all love working with Orgeron, he made it exciting to go to work.

I think the staff was pretty darn good, but you are right about the recruiting. You have to be darned near incompetent not to be able to recruit well here and Archer fit that bill.
