Looking at depth chart for next season and we will have a damn strong front on both sides of the ball. If we bring in shelvin, wilson, and mathis on defense, and deculus, ingram, and charles on offense to go along with the guys we have coming back we will be ROUGH. Geaux Tigers !!!

Our DL is DEEP! Especially if we get Wilson and Shelvin.

especially the OL part of it. I don't think I have ever seen a year where the prevalant thought wasn't that the OL was going to be much better than the preceding years.

I think next year the offensive line is going to be deep and talented, but I myself don't ever remember not thinking that before a season started.

Our OL's have freaking confused the shite outta me since the year Stud was filling in for OC. Ever since then everything looks good on paper, playing good... then *poof*, all goes to shite. Then next game look like they could dominate anyone. And it's not consistent between good and bad opponents. And it has been under Stud & Grimes.

So I've given up on OL predictions.

This is what baffles me. Plus, we had an "expert" OL Head coach in Les Miles. Pfft. Hopefully it was the system (or lack thereof) that affected OL play. Maybe this new offensive philosophy we're going for will change that.

Our oline this year had 1 true tackle and he was playing center. We had 4 guards and a 1 tackle playing center. Thats why we dominated running the ball and struggled at times with pass blocking.

Grimes' zone blocking scheme didnt work well with 4 guards.

I don't get the confidence in the o line.

Clapp
Malone
Tehuma
Weathersby
??? Brum or Campbell

Lots of experience in this group, but noone really stands out as an elite blocker.

Pretty much this. Do we have any tackles for next year?

We only have one true tackle in starting lineup! Your crystal ball is cloudy.

Problem was Les didn't recruit tackles and Chavis wanted smaller quicker players. You see the results of that now. It'll take another year to right this wrong.

I know you can cite some examples, but t's unusual for offensive lineman to start as freshmen. I'll be happy if just Deculus can pull it off.

I hate to say it but I think our OL will be an average SEC line next year.

There will much better answers after spring practice...then we will know what to expect from Deculus and Ingram( I think both are EE guys) and we'll see if Cushenberry is developing along with Campbell...maybe even a surprise from Savage...who knows...
