the ONLY thing i took exception to was the high stepping to home plate on the past ball for the 9th or 10th run.

If you would have gotten Jacoby out, he would have pouted all weekend.
As for our defense, we were exposed last year by Stony Brook for not having any decent defensive outfielders. That problem was addressed this offseason.

I did not like this either.

If Gray makes it to MLB then he gets the last laugh. Some fans can be jackasses
Could be, but he will watch the CWS from home.

quote:His HR was the solo shot in the top of the 8th, giving LSU its 5th run of the night. That was a tight game until LSU opened the flood gates at the end of the game. I didn't see anything wrong with what he did. Tight game, super reagonal, Omaha on the line, he just had amazing energy and was enjoying it, he kept it going into the dugout as well. It wasn't something towards the other team.

Yea, I wish he hadn't done that either but when you're a kid caught up in a moment that kind of exuberance slips out.

Yea he was just fired up because he knew the win was inevitable at that point. I don't like it, but it happens. Pretty sure I'd be pretty pumped too if I were in his shoes.

I find a lot of these OU fans are a lot like Bama fans in that they think their school is this storied hallowed program that you must respect and everyone else is a newbie Johnny come lately. When they played a few years ago, they fell in love with each other and still commiserate on message boards on how other lesser schools just don't get how great they are. Any tigerbaiting is an affront to their status.
Before the 2003 game I spoke with a lot of OU fans in Nola before the game and none of them even considered the possibility that they'd get beat. I really didn't argue with them. It was just surprising how overconfident they were. They all had Stoopswag.

Real baseball fans know the term is "passed ball."

I feel the same way. LSU has fire and passion. Prime ingredients needed in a run to a CWS title.

Which is telling considering KSU had just demolished them in the Big 12 championship game.

The same guy yelling adderall the whole game would yell balk in jest every time Gray threw to 1st. That really pissed off some OU fans, too.
boat, were you sitting in the section again? the "balk" guy was back at it and it was awesome. he even started yelling "balk" when the LSU pitcher would make a pick off attempt. it really confused some of the OU fans.

Jacoby show his emotions more than most players, whether good or bad. He was just fired up.
