same shite if jefferson is qb because he is incapable of reading defenses. he will never get 7 seconds to get rid of the ball and apparently that is what he needs.

It has taken JJ and JL three years to learn his system. I got to believe that next year they will another improvement
Sorry, but JJ is like a 2nd grader trying to take a calculus test. Three years or not, it just ain't happening. True freshmen all over the country learn systems better in a single spring than JJ has in 4 whole years.

Sadly, this seems to be true. You can see it in JJ's face on TV closeups during the game...looks confused.

With Mett 3 straight National Championships

Crowton seemed great when we had a competent quarterback back in 2007. Hopefully Mett can help Crowton get the offense going again

We'll have another year of watching LSU be one of the worst offenses in the SEC, yet somehow find a way to win 9 games.

Correction: 10 games and counting.

Personally, I think he needs to go. He overthinks most offensive decisions and winds up outsmarting himself. KISS....Keep it simple stupid.
amen. when a play works, he shelfs it. i guess he's afraid the opposition will expect it so he runs the plays that don't work thinking the opposition will not expect that. it's crazy, but i swear that's what i've seen.

this.
I feel the same way. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills everytime I see that he's returning year after year! It's nuts.

Guess what, if you can call a better game than Crowton, then please submit your application. Since I belong to and contribute to TAF, I swear that your name will be at the top of the list. BTW, only LSU graduates need apply and not some kid who sniffs a tenth grader's jock strap. We also need your resume as far as your coaching experience and a favorable recommendation from your previous university. Until you submit the requirements for the job, then who are you to say Crowton must go?

When I watch this offense, I look confused!

It was good, but looking back, a lot of the playbook was that of Jimbo Fisher's, and even then the offense could be somewhat erratic. See 2007 UK game for example. And in many categories, it was worse than the 2006 offense.

If LSU could gaurentee the playbook would be in EA Sports format, I would submit my name.

So no criticism and reasonable expectations allowed in your world, eh avondale?
I know several hs coord's that could do a better job than gc has done.

I know several high school kids with down syndrome that can play QB better than Jefferson. There is nobody that could make Jefferson even look like a Sun Belt QB.

You're right that it wasn't as good as 2006 statistically, but thats because we didn't have Jamarcus. The offense then could at least manage the game for the most part unlike the offense now that relies on the defense and special teams to win games. As good as our defense and special teams has been, all we need is an offense that can score some points. Hopefully Mettenberger can do this even with Crowton.
