but, it could be worse. just ask UGA, FSU, Miami, Texas, USC, OU, etc (who have all had losing seasons with QB issues)

does miles have issues? yes, certainly on offense. hopefully he FINALLY changes and we can improve on that side of the ball (while keeping the other side elite) and we can take that next step.

I just cant make that leap of watching LSU go 13-0, steam rolling everyone(except Bama), even had some tough non-conference games... and say the Tigers have "offensive issues". The only issue we had on offense was CLM fixation with JJ. That is over now. And your giving CLM "credit" for the team the last 4 years... well, thats very nice of you... , who else gets the credit???

I agree with this post. I don't know about the OP.

Miles demonstrated that he can't address a problem until it causes significant damage . . . the kind of damage that COMPELS him to make a change.

Miles is reactive, not proactive. That's a problem.

With jamark showing his true colors in performance and attitude is it possible that auburn 2006 was the result of Jimbo and miles not trusting Russell? I say definitely.

well our running game was a lot shittier than JR was that day

our running game got its spark with keiland, which propelled our offense. also, we opened it up with JR running the ball and just being more creative and aggressive on offense (2nd half of the UTenn game is where it happened)

quote:

Lee and Russell's ability can win you a lot of games, their decision making can lose games

JR was a great decision maker, esp in 2006

quote:

I think the Les Miles offensive philosophy is to do well whatever he thinks gives them the best chance to win.

except if charles scott goes beastmode in the 1st half...then he gets benched in the 2nd

we only played 2 teams with a legit defense and our offense wasn't very good in any of the 3 games

we were 2-3 plays away in 2010 from having 3 really ugly seasons in a row.

2011 made me forget that. But that title game brought back bad memories.

2010, on paper, turned out to be a decent year for LSU football. But it had a lot of ugly moments

even if we had lost 3 more games, it still wouldn't be on the level of the teams i listed

really? you need a link to prove that most coaches are reactive? just keep up during the offseason and you'll see nearly every coach in every sport REACTING

many coaches are aggressive and try to dictate their will on x-situation

learning new things, exchanging ideas, implementing new gameplans, trying new recruiting areas, etc etc

not true.

Not the good ones.
The good ones will come out with an attack plan, all coaches will adjust (react), but that is not the same as being a reactive coach.

It has appeared to me that Miles has played most games this season so as "not to lose", rather than to win. His team's TALENT won many games for him, but I did not see great coaching.

When we finally went against someone with equal or a little better talent, we were totally outcoached.

want to take communion from Miles Church ?, go ahead.
In the majority of cases, our better TALENT won, not the coaching.
Miles did a good coaching job with Oregon, but after that I did not see anything special in the game plans.

let's see 9 to 6
then their coaches coached
and
our coaches coached

I rest my case...
