Get the sand out of the vagina....
Thats why I hate the current system. Its nearly impossible to get out of the SEC unbeaten. A one loss SEC team might kill a unbeaten ACC and Big East team... however if they're both unbeaten at the end of the year, then they'll be playing for the crystal.
Somehow the trophy has come down to the deep south the last 2 years regardless... but in the future I worry that inferior teams with better records will be playing due to their schedule.

I agree, but the counter-argument is that this fact produces some unbelievable, playoff-style games during the season that otherwise may not be as exciting if there were a playoff.

Really, is that any different than Spurrier's "you can't spell citrus without UT" comment?"
This just in, coaches talk trash to a group of boosters, BFD.

But you can also say the UF and LSU have helped the cause by winning these games in strong fashion....
Time will tell...

You ain't much of an LSU fan either,Jack
And have never claimed to be. I cheer for LSU because my wife is an alum and I also cheer for Alabama because I have family members who went to school there. In the past three years though (since I've been engaged/married) I've cheered for LSU against Alabama because it makes the night much more fun when LSU wins. A lot of things I see on the rant I find just outrageous, so I say something. That doesn't make me hate LSU. I think it is ridiculous for an LSU fan to hate Saban, but that doesn't mean I hate LSU. I also think it is very naive to think that Saban can't do some pretty big things at Alabama, but that doesn't make me hate LSU. In the past few years, I've been to many games in Baton Rouge and I've seen LSU play in Auburn, Gainesville, Knoxville, Tuscaloosa, Starkville, Atlanta and Oxford. I was also at the Sugar Bowl and the National Championship game the past two years. I don't know, maybe you should look into how such an LSU hater got those tickets from Skip and Company.

Say you are married to this gorgeous woman, you have a beautiful child, but she leaves you for some super rich guy. Just as you accept that, she dumps him and marries some douchebag you hated in HS. Now would you still like her?
Saban did great things at LSU, but he left. If he was now coaching Penn St, I wouldn't care, but I always hated Alabama and their coach, I see no reason to stop that because their hired our old coach. Add to that all the gumps and some LSU fans blasting our current coach and claiming all our success was due to our old coach and we'll soon return to where we were in the 90's, and I say

You've hated the Dolphins since high school? You make it sound as though he had some great plan to end up at Alabama from the time he left LSU.

Hey, it's no secret he doesn't like Saban. Why pretend otherwise?

But, this les miles is stuck in a HS pep rally. Maybe he doesn't realize that the only thing that matters is class and winning tradition.
In 2002 Alabama shut out LSU 34-0 in Baton Rogue. I was there. I think Les should consider revisiting that game film before he says anything else.
2002... remind me who the LSU head coach was back then? Ohhh wait...
There are so many things to laugh at in that comment I don't even have the time to point them all out

He makes a good point. Alabama could have thew another 7 on the scoreboard and they called the dogs off inside the 5 yard line. Thats called class. Thats whay I expect him to teach my kid. Not to talk smack like a punk who has never been there.

I don't get what the big deal is. Bama isn't SUPPOSED to like Les Miles or anything he says. So why bother being "nice" to Bama?
Miles should only worry about keeping LSU happy.
In fact, if he pisses Bama off... that's a pretty good indicator he's doing the right thing.
I don't see anything untrue about what he said, either.
Are Bama fans so arrogant as to think Bama's missteps can't even be MENTIONED? Even by a rival?
Oh noes... we can't make Bama angry... whatever will we do if they're upset with us?? Oh my... we should watch what we say about Bama...
Yeah, right.
Hey Bama... Auburn OWNS you right now. Oh... and look at that... WE OWN YOU, too.
STFU, pansies.

I you want to talk class how about Francionie (spelling?) refusing to shake Saban's hand after the game that one year. Now that's something to get ticked off at not some silly joke to boosters.

Of course he didn't, but he did wind up there and after flat out lying about, announced on the day we were playing in the Sugar Bowl.

Tigerfan1, I don't think you're going to get any Alabama fans upset by mentioning how classless Franchione was (or is). He is to Alabama fans as Saban is to many LSU fans. He is hated in T-town.

I love this Gump's quote:
"In 2002 Alabama shut out LSU 34-0 in Baton Rogue. I was there. I think Les should consider revisiting that game film before he says anything else."
First, it was 0-31. I think if Les looked at that film he'd be saying, "Wow! Saban's not that good of a coach after all! Hell, he also lost to Auburn by 7-31.
"
I wonder if those Gumps remember that LSU also lost 4 out of their last six games that season. In Saban's 3rd year of rebuilding?

You mean the year after he won the SEC Championship and the year before he won the national championship? Same year right?

His 3rd year, the year he went 8-5 with the luckiest catch in LSU history at KY.
