I want to hear one more goofy press conference with the Mad Hatter :(
But, now you're going to need someone who speaks Lafourche to translate for you.

press conference will take place on Monday at 12:30 p.m. to discuss the dismissal of Miles along with the promotion of Orgeron to interim head coach.
I had a want to make a run at this fine university. I was aware of our success and sometimes we just, despite superior intellect, just finish second. That's all I got to say about that, dammed fine time I had!
Go get 'em Les!

it's never a good thing to see someone fired from their job. Les did a great job at LSU.
Never???
Great job???
Wow, the platitudes are flowing like a river.

I didn't say that it wasn't what needed to happen, but the idea that we would be happy that someone got fired really says a lot about where society is heading. I won't lie, I am excited for a new chapter because the page did need to be turned, but you won't see me jumping for joy and bad-mouthing the person who just lost their job.

Great job???
Yes. By all comparisons of LSU head football coaches and most college football coaches to ever coach, Les did a great job while here at the school. The trend line was just heading downward in the past few years so a change was needed.

Feel sorry for the man who is supporting a family on $50,000, busts his arse, and loses his job for some reason beyond his control.
Hard to sympathize with a man who has made 30-40 million coaching at a school and treat it as if he and his family are going to suffer some kind of hardship.

100% disagree with this. Saban was 8-4, 10-3, 8-5, 13-1, 9-3 at LSU. He wasn't going undefeated every season, like some revisionists try to insinuate. There have been too many teams that have experienced success, lost the head coach, and then fell off quickly. LSU did not and Les was a big reason why. LSU needed to make a change and they did, but don't try to take away from the success of the coach was just removed. He was a good coach for LSU's football program, but just like Bowden at FSU and Richt at UGA, it was time to move on.
Perfectly said.

Just a heads up this is a man w family and kids who's talked so long about how much he loved LSU after ingraining his family into the community that is going home tonight to face that family and tell them he lost his job. Personally, while I felt a change of approach was needed and I understand the move, I never root for someone to lose their job and would never cheer for the event in which it does happen. Today is a sad day if anything, Saturday will be the day to celebrate when the Tigers take the field.
*An honorable and great man too for the record

If I had to go home and tell my wife I got fired, but they have to pay 12 million to get rid of me I don't think she would be to upset.

I'll likely never have even $1 million either, but i still won't root for anyone to lose their job. Btw did les miles demand a $12 million payout? I think your upset with the wrong person/people.. If you have a problem w the payout be mad at the pool who agreed to it. If you're truly an LSU fan ask that matters is who cares most about LSU

If your wife wouldn't be upset because you got fired from a job you loved and didn't want to leave, regardless of what your severance was, you married poorly.
FTR, I suspect your wife would be upset, not because of money, but because she would know what the job meant to you.

Alleva announced that Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach Cam Cameron was also dismissed on Sunday evening. Orgeron will announce his new staff assignments on Monday.
