When you throw glorified handoffs to the flat 80% of the time you will have a great completion rate.....they ask Jefferson to make those throws and Lee to stretch the field

Nah man you don't get it... completion percentage is by far the most important factor of qb play

This is a graph I put together using stats from each QB in games where they have had greater than 10 attempts. Interpret however you like.

If you'd like to see other stats compiled on a similar graph I will try and accommodate requests.

Sorry. Your attempt at an explanation is not supported by the facts:

Lee Yards Per Attempt 2008: 6.96

Jefferson Yards Per Attempt 2009: 7.32

So you are 100% against Lee getting a shot this year?

Why should anyone consider your opinion when you don't even bother to read the Official QB Thread?

No one should give a rat's arse about your obviously uninformed opinion.

Sorry I'm not going through 30 pages of arguing... you can't add 1 to your 30,000 post count and let me know? Sorry for offending your elite status

Uninformed because I won't read 30 pages of bullshite? I watch the same games as you, bud. I think it's sad that posters like you think those who want Lee to start hate Jefferson, and vice versa.

I support all LSU quarterbacks. I don't see what the offense has to lose by giving Lee a chance after a much better offseason than he had last year. Or am I being uninformed to think that we are seeing the same exact passing offense that we saw last year? Please tell me what has changed in the offense other than Shep getting his touches and running the ball a little better.

If Jefferson's the guy, then so be it. But I want to know that this is the absolute best system we can put on the field. I refuse to believe that 96 yards passing is the best we could do against Vandy. I didn't think that Lee's stats against Tech last year was the best we could do, either... but I wasn't calling for him to get a start before that game, either.

Oh, if you don't have enough time on your hands to read a few paragraphs like I don't feel like reading 30 pages, I'll understand

You were the one throwing out unfounded assertions about someone else completely contrary to easily attainable facts. Just Me gave such an accusation all of the dignity it deserved.

Rett (Oregon)

Is Les Miles REALLY thinking about sitting Jefferson in favor of Lee? or is he just trying to "light a fire" under Jefferson?

Chris Low (1:35 PM)

No, I think he's serious. I've talked to too many people there at LSU who've told me that Lee was the better quarterback during the spring. And with Jefferson getting off to a slow start this season, I think Miles will pull the trigger.

I'll own up to being an a-hole... but this isn't the only thread where quarterbacks were being discussed. This also isn't the first time I've read posts like that.

Is asking if the guy was 100% for Jefferson really that offensive? How is that an accusation? I doubt anyone on here is that sensitive to think that is an accusation

I think CLM is playing it perfectly. He'll start his regular QB to not hurt his feelings and not pressure the #2 guy. The starter will stink it up and the #2 guy gets a chance to run onto the field to the tune of 93K screaming fans. It will fire the fans and team up and give the spark we need to spank the bulldogs

Speaking of, I argued your argument with my own argument in the 30 for 30 thread

Once again, you are skewing the facts you claim to base your opinions on...

According to this statistical view, JJ appears to stretch the field a little better than JL.

Unfortunately, this method of analysis does not correct for completion percentage. JJ's is significantly higher than JL's, giving him a higher yds/attempt figure. Why don't you post yds/completion if you want to know who "stretches" the field better?
