What difference does that make? After the completion he was calling for Jefferson to spike it. You're acting like there was all kinds of time b/t the completion and when they lined up.
There was enough time to get the FG unit on the field if they had run out right after the completion. Once the offense was on the line it was obviously too late.
At that point it didn't matter what Miles did, as evidenced by the futility of him running the other way on the sidelines doing a kicking motion. What matters is what Miles did immediately after the completion.

We discussed briefly runs and passes andd franklyt he first pass is a deep ball...the second is a very quick throw, we should be able to bang it in there...
I want to do better there....I don't want to ever back up...

I felt like we needed to be closer but we needed to move the ball. we discussed briefly runs and passes and frankly the first pass is a deep ball and we throw it away. it backs off the defense. 2nd play we took a sack. i wanna do better there in strategy. i dont want to ever back up when we are 1st and 10 from the 32. we are going to discuss the playcalls. I defend those calls. They come with my name on them. frickING MORON.

I NEVER SAID MILES DID ANYTHING RIGHT.
He did a horrible job coaching in this game. He did nothing on the sidelines at the end of the game. It was all just pathetic.
All I'm saying is that Miles did not tell Jefferson to spike the ball, but he should however say that he did and that it was his fault. He should just own up.
