What I take from this:
- Miles didn't recognize that he could have two plays in nine seconds.
- Miles didn't recognize that there were almost 30 seconds that went by where his field goal unit could get on the field, which by his own admission takes 12 seconds.

Didn't foresee another play - likelihood to get play off successfully with one second left was not good - potential for 12th man on defense and thought was to snap it without play - came from press box (aka Crowton) but Les reviewed it and there was no 12th man on...
