Yes, he had no eligibility.
But still some people argue that they should come back for their last season...
The no eligibility Seniors drafted are mostly getting nothing.

Any idea what they have left in the bonus pool?

I was just able to put their numbers into a sheet. They currently have $2,074,050 to sign McLean and someone else.
They have about $1,240,350 to sign others if they don't sign McLean. So they'll have more to work with than I thought.
The Miami P has already turned them down.
So they have McLean, South Carolina P, Young, and Richmond OF.
I don't know anything about the South Carolina P or the Richmond OF.

I wonder what McLean is holding out for.

The Richmond OF is going back to school.

Young signed for $1.325MM
ETA: 1.2mm against the pool. Which means they aren't signing McLean.

Can’t be mad about that.

A sub plot in all of this draft/portal coverage is that Oklahoma State is going to have some damn good arms next year.

There have been so many bad takes about all this. The next one is that Young only used us for leverage.
Considering even the Baseball America writers were shocked by this and it doesn't happen if Nolan McLean signs, that narrative is false.

An 11 year old. And Orioles fan, no apostrophe. Maybe they'll cover that in 7th grade english class for you this fall.

Depending on if they sign their 3rd round draft pick. Quick calculations if he signs for $1million (which is overslot). The Os would have just short of $1.2million to offer and if he doesn't sign (with loss of slot and reduction in 5% overage) the Os would have approx. $1.35 million to offer.
