Is there a chance? 39th? He could improve his stock...

no

Maybe. The Rangers also don't have a whole bunch of dough in their budget to sign all their top 10 round picks. But highly unlikely.

Just playing the roll of the "it could happen" kid from Angels in the Outfield

Not likely. He's getting drafted there on potential. Only way he comes to LSU is if he just wants to play at the box.
Money will be there.
Money will be there.

Hensley was going to Ole Miss.
Ah, ok. Sorry, was a little behind on the draft tracker. Don't mind Florida losing a 1st rounder either.

Stony Brook kid off the board. Jankowski

Rosetta said the kid wants to hit, and the pros want him to pitch. That may be your chance... but I doubt it

I am not a pessimistic as yall are. Rangers don't have a bunch of money allotted in the first 10 rounds. They will not be able to pay him over slot AT ALL. He wants to hit ONLY. They are going to tell him they will give him a chance to hit and if he can't then they will convert him to pitcher. I still say it's a good chance he signs, but I won't be shocked if he doesn't.

This is not the Rangers of old. Dough is not an issue and their farm system is one of the best in the league.

Yes there is. It isn't like the old days. Teams will be penalized for going above the allotment. The spots aren't set in stone but they are based on the full first 10 rounds.
He is sitting in a spot that would be around 1.5 million or less.
If he goes to LSU, plays three years, he can improve his stock and become a top five pick then sign for almost ten million. (Since the top 4 pick slots are set at a max of 7.2, 6.2, 5.2, 4.2 million this year, it will go up each season)

It is a stretch but I hope he comes to school!
