No. 12 LSU will host unranked Mississippi State for its home opener on Saturday, Sept 18. Kickoff in Tiger Stadium is at 6pm CT. The game will be televised by ESPNU.
This is be the 104th meeting between the two schools. LSU owns a 67-33-3 record in the series, and won last year's game, 30-26, in Starkville.
Here is your chance to tell the world how you see this game unfolding.
I see this game playing out like the Vandy game. LSU will be in control but struggle to put up points. Big plays on special teams and defense will open things up for the Tigers.

LSU jumps out to an early 2 score lead, then the scoring slows down and it remains relatively close until the 4th quarter.

We should be able to get pressure on their QBs and stop their running game. They might hit a couple of big pass plays, but shouldn't be able to manage anything consistent. We should be able to run the ball fairly well, utilize our speed on the outside, and Jefferson should have a better game than last week...or Lee will.

LSU has over 250 yds rushing, with 100 coming in the 4th quarter with a TD that puts it away.

17-13 LSU, this is the best team that LSU has seen thus far and it will be a low scoring game
