$14.0 Million Pay Cut for LSU's Poor Athletice Dept due to the coaches' failure to prepare for Arkansas again.... Pathetic... From a BCS payout of $17.0 Million to under $3.5 Million..

Don't the SEC teams still split the bowl revenue among all members?

Yes they do. The only way it would be a "pay cut" is if LSU was independent.

Bingo. The bowl doesn't care what team plays. They just want tourist revenue. LSU doesn't bring in as much hotel revenue as Arkansas.

I disagree...I know tons of people who had already booked hotels in NOLA for the Sugar prior to the Arkansas game

It basically works like this. Each team gets the largest share of its own bowl money. The rest goes into a pot and gets split 12 ways (one share each for the 11 others schools and 1 for the SEC)

Considering I expected about 12-13 with how to humans hate us, I'm happy to see we're still top 10. With a good bowl win we may finish 7-8 which will bode well going into next season.

Correct. But how many of those are staying multiple nights and eating multiple meals in the quarter and spending monies on Bourbon and so forth. The vast majority of Arkansas fans (I reckon') will spend multiple days, meals, and escapades in the Crescent City.
