Look, I’m not defending Canada. I don’t want him as a HC. My whole point is this:
When Orgeron was hired, we sold that any concerns about his lack of success and lack of Xs and Os wouldn’t be necessary because he was going to go out and hire the best coordinators available to run the offense and defense and that the incestous nepositism that occurred at Ole Miss would not occur here.
And in one year, just one year, he fired an OC that was considered to be among the best in college football to hire a long time friend who hasn’t been a coordinator in twenty years and who had no interest from any other program in the country.
Maybe it all works out. But given Orgeron’s history, there isn’t anything that suggests this will be the case.

Herman lost to Maryland last year, this is less of a Canada triumph and more proof that Herman is vastly overrated.

How dare you present logic that flies in the face of the Cheeri-O-s?

Props for doing what a losing Maryland team did last year? Ok.

Canada was thrown into a situation he wasn’t prepared for yet he still managed to get the team ready to play and they won. I’d say it’s pretty impressive. Will he continue to do this? Time will tell, but give him props for this one. He deserves it.

They hate Tom Herman because fans wanted Herman to be the coach over Orgeron.
A lot of people don't hate Hotlips they are just making fun of the idiots that wanted to hire a coach who seems to get progressively worse each year.

But they also hate Matt Canada because Orgeron told them to.
About as bad as your first assumption. I don't think many LSU fans EVER pull for the Texas Longhorns. I'm not drinking today but my first sip tomorrow will a big ole toast to congratulate Coach Canada for beating Texas and making the ranter idiots look like bigger morons than they already appear. And that's not easy to do.

Not an Orgeron fan. Just not stupid enough to see that this same “accomplishment” happened last year.
Herman sucks.
Herman sucks.
