Any by the way, I live in Houston and I wasn't talking about baseball fans here, I was talking about the general population -- most who could care less about college baseball. I'm talking about name recognition.
Even the Houston Comical used UL Lafayette in its brief articles about the regional.

I read on the Complainin Cajuns page that they are bragging that they corrected ESPN announcer Adam Amin by Twitter to say University of Louisiana on the broadcast & that he will oblige.
Plus they are adamant that Ben McDonald will definitely call them UL because last year he said that he doesn't understand why we are all so against it. They predict a meltdown by us when that happens.
The only meltdown that will happen tonight is when we whip their arse on the field! Geaux Tigers!

They are more concerned about journalists using their actual name than they are about the outcome of the series.

They have been concerned about there name and more specifically having it changed to Louisiana for as long as I can remember. Now, they have gotten about as close as they are going to get by law and are attempting to get the press and media to do what they cant. They simply dont understand that they cant change that they are and always will be a state school, unlike LSU, the flagship. Congrats to them and there baseball team this year
