I agree that this is entertaining at the least, but how does what happens actually impact the team. IF it goes to trial, JJ does not play this year, IF is gets dropped, JJ has not been practicing with the team - do you think he would be more effective than JL? SO the question IMHO is both IF he will play and SHOULD he play. JL is the QB now - and Mett probably next year.

Also I find it odd you revealed your vote, and reasoning for it, in the poll.
Probably not done purposely, but not exactly a "scientific" poll when this could be seen as suggestive.
I honestly didn't mean to attempt to skew the results.

I guess I've just been trained by TD to offer an opinion when you pose a question in the OP of a thread.

Plea bargain to a misdemeanor, no trial. JJ does not play this year, but is on the roster for next year.

Pretty naivie to think it wouldn't be better to have JJ on the team instead of on trial.
We are about to step up in class against much better Ds soon.
If the run and pass from pro set O fails, what would be our options? JL has done a good job, but read isn't his forte.
Some people are just afraid that Lee might lose the start, which I reaaly doubt.

I think he gets off and will not play another snap for LSU.

I doubt Hillar Moore completely dumps the case which to me means he's going to be indicted. It will be interesting as it appears Moore is going out of his way to appear impartial and allowing the process to be transparent.

Curious to learn, but seems it would be so... wouldn't ant testimony by JJ before a grand jury be admissable in court if he is indicted?

Yes sir..

Sending this to GJ doesn't mean he's already dumped it in a sense?

Personally, I think Jefferson gets indicted. The burden of proof is too low to not get indicted.

You may be right. And I agree with you on the burden of proof, the evidence is there to get the GJ to indict.

However, I predict a no true bill. How the evidence is presented is going to be a huge factor, and I don't think the AD wants to go to trial.

Look at the circumstances:
1. This is going to the GJ. That's exactly what an AD would do with a felony battery case if they wanted it to go away.
2. The prosecution is allowing defense testimony, defense witnesses, and defense evidence. Why would the prosecution even allow these things if they wanted to charge Jefferson?
3. The GJ will hear witness from both sides. That is the extent of the evidence to be presented. Why would the GJ believe on side over another?

The hundreds of tiger fans who vote in your poll will now have biased opinions.

Most here including me don't have enough info to make any kind of an intelligent guess. We don't even know what evidence they have.

First there are 10 witnesses and 8 are saying JJ kicked Lowery. Now supposedly according to JJ lawyer there are only 2 that say it was JJ and many that say it was not. Which is it.

We all watched the video in the early days and assumed that jj was suppose to be the kicker in all black. Then video shows jj in a white shirt. But there is a second person that may have kicked Lowery that is in white. At first the video was used to prove he was guilty. Then some say wrong shirt innocent. We don't even know which guy in the video black shirt/white shirt is suppose to JJ according to Lowery.

They are presenting tons of evidence that we don't have the scoop on.

In the end half the people here will say I told you so and the vast majority of them will be right simply by chance!

Surprised that many people think a no true bill will happen

I think MOST people don't quite understand how a grand jury works.
...raises hand.

Which reminds me? The usual suspects in all threads in which JJ and this case are mentioned have not yet appeared. Interesting.

First set was in the first week here on TD. Second set came from a quote from JJ's lawyer posted here on TD yesterday or the day before. I forget.
