He didn't trip, he got ran through by Kentucky's behemoth of a man. Prob should of been an off the ball foul. GG though

I tend to agree. Football and basketball in particular have talent but regress to hoping it wins from athleticism instead of coaching to get it done. It could be worse though but at the same time it's not fun expecting to be out coached down the stretch. This has become the identity to lsu sports. Dangerous as hell in an isolated game but won't consistently put it together.

I agree but LSU doesn't have Kentucky's talent. Those kids played over their heads tonight.

Looked like an obvious foul live, but couldn't quite tell. Was Hornsby's second to last shot a clean block?

I have to disagree to an extent. A major key to tonights game was the crowd. The Deaf Dome was back. New paid attendance record and any time LSU got down the crowd got into it and pulled em back in. I told my 22 and 20 yr old kids that went with me about how the PMAC was a snake pit to opponents when LSU got on a run. They had never seen it like it was tonight and they both attend LSU...

If this team had that support every home game they would only have maybe two - three losses.

It actually looked to me like Hornsby ran into him. LSU would have had a wide open back door lob as a result, though.

I watched it in a slow motion and it was a weird looking play; it really looked like a set play for a lob b/c Hornsby didn't do much of anything to avoid contact.

Glad I came in on the last page of this thread because Josh Gray shouldn't see the floor except to spell some minutes from Patterson or Hornsby. Turnovers, horrible decision making with the ball in his hands and shot selection. I expect a turnover when he drives the lane.

Well we scrapped hard, still think Gray makes too many bad choices.

Their A and B group are both more talented than most teams' starting 5 including ours.

Our guys played well last night, showed a lot of promise and heart. Coach didn't hold the reigns back on some players enough and he couldn't draw up plays with less than 7 seconds on the game clock or shot clock to help secure the victory.

LSU played hard and well last night. It was great to see the crowd back and the energy a full house brings to the games. Reminded me of some of the big games I attended in the '80s. More than anything else, the problem with this team is that it really just goes 6 deep. I had hoped Epps, Robinson or Malone could consistently play 15 mins but they just aren't there yet. Calipari said on ESPN he was surprised how tough LSU was and expected them to tire down the stretch because "they're only 6 guys". He was impressed as well as the ESPN announcers.

I'm not sure how many more wins LSU needs to make the tourney but this game, even though it was a loss, was a net positive for the team. It is one of the few losses I won't mind re-watching.

The last play was disrupted because of perfect defense by Aaron Harrison. he helped on martin going to the goal, then got back in time to get in Hornsby's face. nothing wrong with the play call at all. just good defense by kentucky.
