Let Jennings get a full offseason as the starter under Cam and I expect to see Mettenberger like improvement in the passing game.
We good boys!

Where are the slants/crossing routes?
(I know, I know...end of the half & all that)

Pretty good half considering.
That rush is going to take its toll in the 4th for sure.

Well Jennings is a pretty big disappointment.

Points would have been nice there and Les did ok with the clock.

Fan base already turning on the true freshman QB in his first start.

Cause we're up 2 tds going into half. Just eat it and hit the lockerroom.

Well, time for some halftime adjustments
Other than the first drive, offense looks like the days of old, yet the defense has been lights out.

I want us to blow them out but I am kind of glad AJ is struggling a bit. Now next year there won't be this big hype and pressure put on him. I still think he is gonna be a great player.

I'm sorry. You have opportunities to put it away, you do it. This is just letting Iowa stay close enough to make it another nerve wracker.
Have you watched LSU under Les Miles? If so, then you can't be surprised that LSU isn't putting them away.

I know AJ is young and has had many practice reps, let alone game time reps but.....his ability to scramble and avoid pressure is kinda questionable. I see his athleticism but he has no idea where the pressure is coming from and once it comes, he doesn't know how to escape it.

I think Mett would have been sacked like 6 times this half.
LSU faced many better defensive teams than Iowa.
Jennings has freshman jitters, he'll be ok. He's just playing like a rookie, which he is.
He'll have a better second half.

Why is everyone surprised that AJ is struggling. He's a game manager type QB with an average arm. This is who we will be until Harris gets his chance.

Yeah. I'm an idiot for expecting him to play at least somewhat as well as he did in the Arkansas game.

When they sit there for 15 minutes, that D is gonna be sore when they get up, that's for sure.
LSU's D was bringing the hammer. I hope they start off on that footing in the second. If so, this one is done.
