hmmmm hard to say, depends on the work you put in, the o-line is just such a physically and mentally tough position, people give those guys a hard time but they are doing what they can, can the coaches do something better? I don't know

As a former offensive lineman, of a much smaller and physically talented caliber, i wanted to know why it seems like OL guys are so smart and pretty intellectual compared to other positions.

Gotcha. One more question. of the young guys in your class, which ones do you see rising to the level of Team leaders? Not necessarily the best players, but the ones who have great leadership and will help the teamm stay together and stay focused?

You're welcome Rant. Otherwise y'all would have no fricking clue who this guy is.

eta: bignasty69 was trying to be discreet? What, was "frickyouasshole" already taken or something?

yeah you gotta be smart especially in college they make so many calls and it is nothing like high school, you go to the line and their might be 3 plays called depending on the checks and the defense you can switch them and all kinds of stuff that involves a lot of brain power

any word on Brockers? I heard he was progressing very nicely during his RS year. Will he be sliding inside to DT?

Good luck man, I personally would like to have seen better play on the OL and I attribute that solely to coaching, or lack there of.

How accurate am I?

Also I hear the staff gave Ciron all fall work outs off for coming back his Sr year, is this true? I believe this is why he had a poor season also.

Ughhh well, Ciron is a good guy, BUT from what i heard Brett Helms was the person who kept people in line and he was the leader when he left some of the discipline also left

Thanks for the response, I think he'll make a great DT. From what I heard he was ready to contribute last season but was RS.

Glad to see the team chemistry has greatly improved from the Mallory and Peveto DC gig.

^ouch

Now we have zero proven leaders on the OL this season, TBoB someone has to step up, I do not think Joe is that type.

Personally i just believe the O-Line was really young, and it is a position that takes a few years to adapt to, last year i think you had some project players playing a year early, its that easy

Do we have anybody that can fill that Helms role? Maybe Barksdale?
