I'm actually pretty pumped about Ben Wilkerson working with the OL ........

Another year should make T-Bob stronger and PJ more fluent in calling schemes.......

Hurst did look more capable than Hitt and he will have another year under his belt....

It will be a while untill we get our answer for sure but there is no reason not to be an optimist!

I don't know how A. Williams slipped under the radar either. He looks like a freak athlete. 139 inch broad jump is off the charts

I hope so, but i was just there in camp so hopefully they worked on it later. Stud and Crowton have one option, turning the performances around on Saturdays or hitting the road..... it almost isn't worth talking about because they have this year to prove themselves and they weren't fired. Miles wanted to keep them on staff because it was insurance for his own job... bad year next year=Studs and Crowtons fault.... it buys him a few more years

oh shite...

Do you think Stud's enormous belly inhibits his ability to coach?

Crowton isn't the best recruiter by any means... it is just hard to get mad at the guy i never saw him raise his voice and he is mormon so cursing is out of the question.... but no he wasn't the best recruiter, Frank Wilson recruited me though while he was at Southern Miss and I can honestly say he was the best recruiter i have been associated with..

hwy bignasty, you mentioned that Miles was keeping Crowton and Stud because it would buy him some more time if next year is bad. Is that your opinion or is that something you heard from some ppl on the team?

Just curious because I heard that Alleva made the choice to keep Crowton.

that was just a little hypothesis i formed, it makes since when you think about it, the year before was the Defensive coaches, he got lucky when porter and McCarthy left so he was able to slide two good offensive coaches in there while keeping the other two in case of a bad season.... but then again he might of just told them hey look yall got one more year to prove some stuff....

If that is directed to me, I hope he gets his stuff together and lives up to his potential, like I hope for all Tigers. If he doesn't, that is his loss and something he will have to live with. I'm thankfull for the time he spent in Baton Rouge.

I think both sides of the ball will improve from this past year, but not so much do to coaching as to players..... Everyone has seen what our guys can do even when bad plays are called. If you honestly look back from when Miles arrived to this past year there are so many games that could of gone either way, his first few years went our way but as for the past two years the toss up games have been about even but we have been embarrassed like LSU shouldn't be embarrassed Florida the past two years Ole Miss the past two years....

I agree bignasty, there were so many games decided by a handful of plays. And Miles and Crowton aren't far off on most of their calls, its just those few bonehead plays that can cost you a game. I think they can fix it and i agree with you that next year will be better

CA do you think Sheppard got a fair shot at QB? there were some rumors that Miles told him that he wouldn't be playing QB and Shep got pissed. Some say he didn't know the playbook

the players love him from what they have told me, he is really a players coach, but at the same time not a players coach like crowton.... you can tell he gets serious when the time is right.... i think it was a great decision.... billy g is doing good things too..... Yano is gone which i think Miles wanted him out.... I dont think Miles was pleased with his coaching abilities

Well Jordan Jefferson was the starter from the beginning.... I don't think Shep ever had a chance to take the full time spot over, but i believe we should have played him WAYYYYY more than we did and he should of lined up some at QB..... he is no Manning at passing but like most dual threats can get the job done.... his feet are most impressive gotta get the kid touches.
