Pretty sure that would shut up the National Championship talk.

Pretty sure that has already been done

You may want to hold off on any offers until you see who we land here shortly. A bevy of good news for the Knights with 2 Under Armour All Americans now on defense as well as the biggest prize on the way. Cue the bugle and fife, boys, we back!!!

I’d rather play ULL.
Just as delusional and entitled little bitches but at least our pay out stays in state.

Side note. When is UCF hanging their repeat national championship banner for this past undefeated regular season?

Oh good lawdy I can’t wait for y’all to hear the good news coming UCF’s way. Just when you thought we finished, the opposite happens.

I have a cousin who keeps talking about all of the job offers they have coming in but their waiting to decide if they want to go to med school or not before committing to one. They don't have a bachelor's degree. This is the equivalent of what you are doing right now.

They turned down a 2 for 1 offer by Florida which would have been their possible ticket to credibility

Dude why’re you still here? Our programs will never meet again. Why don’t you go pester Orlando High School for a home and home series. Then y’all can hang a Florida High School Championship banner!

Offer them a 2:1. See if they bite this time.

Don’t we want to recruit in Florida anyway?

No, we don't need them. They need us. The one thing that gets lost in this is that they talk about UCF beating Auburn. What they don't talk about is how playing a gauntlet of SEC teams through a season wears on each team. Beating one SEC team or a Power 5 team when you have had 3 or 4 weeks off to prepare and and rest up is one thing. Competing in the conference through a full schedule of SEC games is quite another. And, UCF does not have the depth or athletes up and down the roster to handle that schedule day in and day out.

Alabama (neutral site) vs. Kentucky at TAMU at LSU

UCF would get obliterated by Alabama, TAMU and LSU. Not sure what Kentucky has next year so maybe they'd win that, especially if it was a home game for them.

They need that kind of competition if they hope to make the playoffs. I don't want to hear any more of their griping or posturing until that happens.

The big boys don't need UCF but UCF needs the big boys to gain more credibility. As has been stated often, they need to adopt Bowden's early FSU approach of anytime, anywhere. Bowden knew what he had to do to have FSU make the jump and gain national recognition.
exactly. FSU did this when they were a nothing program. They went anywhere to play the big boys, and playing well, even if they didn't win, helped propel them to prominence.

That's what UCF doesn't get. They need to put aside their ego and go play ANYBODY, ANYWHERE, without a home-and-home guarantee.

Their hesitancy to do this tells me they really don't want it bad enough.

and let's be honest - Auburn was apathetic last year playing in the Peach Bowl. Auburn went from possibly getting in the playoffs to the Peach Bowl against UCF. Mentally, they didn't care.

This year, we crushed UCF, even though the score was far closer than the game actually was. We should've beat them by 20+.

UCF is a nice story (except for the absurd national championship claim), but they'd struggle week-to-week in the SEC. Everyone knows that.

I’d like to see UCF play 4 non conference games in Sept as follows:

Alabama (neutral site)

Alabama wouldn't schedule such a quality opponent for a non conference game.

We do not play G5 away. We don’t.

We’re in Gainesville every other year. Go see Mickey Mouse then. :)

jeez, man, Bama has played at least one very difficult OOC game almost every year. Here are the ones since Saban took over in 2007.

Florida State (twice)
USC
West Virginia
Va Tech (twice)
Michigan
Wisconsin
Penn State (twice)
Clemson
Louisville (twice)
