1st. Use the Split Back formation with 2 RBS the backfield, allow both to block. this will also open up the passing game to our running backs. Allow them to sometimes block, sometimes slip into the flat or run wheels etc.Forces guys in the box leaving receivers on islands.(also anyone who understands football, realizes now they can't blitz 6 or you can have one of the 2 RBs leak out when there's a blitz and get a huge gain)
2nd. Counters and miss-directions, Run every play from shot gun. No play action where burrow turns his back. Keep his eyes down field and run RPO style play fakes rather than bootlegs. Those are short yardage plays, take too much to execute and usually end up incomplete or a 8 yard sack.
3rd. Get rid of timing routes, specifically 5 yard outs and curl routes. When the OLINE cant block waiting for your receiver to turn around on a timing route is a recipe for sacks and interceptions. Stack and bunch formations will create pick plays, drags, crossing routes, slants, posts, verticals and wheels will be more effective.
Last resort. Move the Tackles to Guards, Brumfield to center, then replace LT with Devin White and RT with Tory Carter
Examples of split back:

Apparently Ensminger AND Orgeron do not understand any of these techniques. Canada did. He had our offensive line shift all game long. He did all the motions too. We beat Auburn doing that, and we moved the ball on sabamm. No way you could beat sabamm with etling, but at least canada's scheme gave us a shot. Orgeron is a stupid arse son of a bitch for putting us in this predicament. Ensminger is clueless. A great defense can defend Ensminger so very easily and laughing their asses off at our expense. It would give me great pleasure to whip orgeron's arse for this. He and Ensminger frick around and get us beat at agricultural and mechanical, I may whip both their asses. Who was the player last season that challenged someone to a boxing match? I'm going to ask him to line one up for dumb and dumber and I.

Easy. It's not that bad.

Yep, this junior briles is bad to the bone. His offense is deadly. We need briles. But I doubt orgeron can get along with him. Orgeron likes to meddle. Orgeron could frick up a wet dream.

2 to 3 losses per season equals 9-10 wins per season. Being in the same division as the greatest football dynasty of all time (Alabama) I will take it.

2 to 3 losses including ALWAYS shut out and embarassed by sabamm. That stinks.

This is just my 2 cents on that subject and I may be way off. After last season with the Canada situation, I'm not sure if Orgeron will hire another guy as an OC that he doesn't have a previous relationship with. I don't think I see him bringing in a Briles and then giving him free reign.

I agree, and that is part of why I'm so fired up.

He has a previous relationship with Freeze and he would be a home run at LSU as OC. I'm all for giving Ensminger time to build his offense, but not at the expense of letting Freeze get away.

I'm also irritated that our analysts have no answers. Ensminger is getting zero help. Is there noone associated with this offense that understands the screen game? Has anyone bothered to look at ways sabamm's D has been had (by freeze and Dabo)? Where's the accountability?

Yessir I'm all in on freeze as O.C.

The old veer from the shotgun. Why not?

LSU's analysts had been studying Alabama since the summer. They had every game broken down in detail for the last two years. Orgeron went to the Administration and almost doubled his number of analysts from last year to this year just for the Bama game. They knew everything there was to know about Bama. There were no surprises. However, when your offensive and defensive line is getting their asses handed to them for the entire game, planning goes out the window.
LSU was shutout but they are the only team this season to get Alabama's best for 4 quarters. Everyone else was getting blown out and they scored against Bama's backups.
