. I agree with all of this but it is not unfair to question if Davis is any good. He basically has no track record for developing a OL on his own.
If this OL recruiting class stays solid through the season, I don’t see Davis going anywhere. There are guys like Kelly and Denbrock who can help him out teaching technique, but he’s put together our best back to back OL classes in over a decade. As badly as we need talent there, he’s got at least another year.

Not good when the only Senior starter grades out the lowest!

He's getting blamed for what looks like some assignment failures, unfairly. BUT... he did get his arse whipped enough where that's beside the point.
And several times he did very good recoveries or rode the DE behind the pocket and people see those as bad when they are good, unfairly. BUT... he did get his arse straight up whipped several times.
One thing stood out to me that was killing him (that I also saw the freshman Campbell do very well often) and that was lack of a first good punch. He was on his heels too much in the sense he didn't punch the defender to blunt that first move. It's a catch all, works against all moves, gives you time to adjust. If I were to give him one piece of advice is to punch first before you try to react.
Some of Campbell's punches were truly vicious. It saved him from some bad freshmanesque technique several times. I could almost see the guy he punched eyes dilate from shock and suprise.

Will Campbell
Emery Jones
Fitzgerald West
Bo Bordelon
Tremond Shorts
Miles Frazier
Zalance Heard
Tyree Adams
Hopefully more to come
This is one of the best 2 year stretches of o line recruiting in the last decade. If we continue recruiting offensive line at this level, between Davis, Kelly and Denbrock, the line play will become elite very soon.

Now giving me our DL and FSU OL ratings

IMO, Emery Jones could’ve played better than Cam Wire at RT

Was Bradford eventually benched?
If you’re going to keep him in there, we should have pounded it with Cain 20+ times.

These grades come from people who watch the game, who have less than HS JV FB experience.
Some of these guys have probably never played football. That being said, it doesn’t matter because this is all based off analytics gathered. You don’t have to have playing experience to use their formula for grading players.

Neither the Center or QB, read the D and corrected alignments. Which leads you to coaching.
The LB's were horrible and they couldn't get off the field on 3rd down.
Just lucky they coughed up the ball at the goal line.
