At the end of the season, who can we realistically get? Not pie in the sky type wishes but who is available, who is proven (not some division 2 offensive passing leader, a legit proven division 1 OC).

Who’s on the list? What about HCs who aren’t winning at their schools?

We need a "Ensminger will be the OC next year" sticky at the top of the page in bright flashing lights.

Let’s keep what’s there an build some continuity with this young team. Let them gel an if it continues next year make a change. Damn all this firing coaches after a decent yet especially with all the youth.

You could ignore the thread if it hurts your feelings so much.

I’m not a nega-O or a Cheerio. Just a realist. Steve isn’t getting the job done. Last night was scared play calling. It’s why it reminded everyone of Miles. Beginning of the year we weren’t calling a dive every first down. Now, it seems we are doing everything we can to get off the field and not have to play offense. Last night was indefensible.

I'm with you. Our offensive system is pathetic.

But O is not getting a third OC in 3 years.

Does E have a locked in contract? He didn’t want the job in the first place, I doubt he’d mind if someone else was brought in and he went back to being a position coach. But the stats don’t lie. Our offense is one of the worst in college football. That is fact. Going 8-2 with a horrid offense is pretty damn significant, but being at the bottom of every offensive statistical category every damn year (yes, Les Miles creates this mess) is unacceptable.

I don't see how he would be able to recruit effectively if he did. All other coaches have to tell recruits and their families is that he can't even hire an OC to stay more than a year because they're no good.

You tell me what a so called modern offense looks like? This fancy spread an RPO shite is just fancy terminology for things that has been going on for years. LSU uses all this stuff. Maybe another year produces better results cause of continuity.

Kliff Kingsbury once he gets canned from Texas Tech.

Jake Spivital from West Virginia

Randy Clements from Houston

Throw a big paycheck at Heupel to leave UCF to be our OC.

I'm not disagreeing with any of your points. I agree with most of them. I'm also being realistic. E is O's guy until O is gone. Hopefully after next year.

I’d think if we are willing to pay the top OC that are often mentioned here we could definitely get them. If Aranda is any indication, then we would be open to that. The problem is twofold:

1. Ed O and Steve E seem to be tied at the hip so even though the latter didn’t want the job and is subpar, I don’t know that O would replace him.

2. Even if he did, could O learn what Les didn’t and keep his hands off to let the dynamic OC do his job?

continuity's great.... if we have a decent offense. But we're one of the worst in the nation. Change is clearly needed.

We already have the "best" OC.

Anyone else would be a step down.

he ain't going back to being a coordinator.

is he responsible for WV's offense, or is it Holgerson. I always thought Holgerson ran that offense.

Randy Clements from Houston
don't know much about him

really dumb comment. He's not taking a step down, especially not when his team is undefeated. Another year or two of great results and he'll get a bigger head coaching gig.

Kingsbury won’t get another HC job if he gets fired from Tech. The only reason he got the job was because he played there back in the day. Having a guy who knows that air raid offense would be great for LSU. That’s what we need. I don’t care if LSU has always been a pro style I formation run first team, it’s time to come into 2018. Spread the damn ball out for real.

We need a Big12 style offense
