Offense Problems are Obvious

I posted this in another topic but it is obviously the truth. Go rewatch the game and then go watch his games from ASU. It is the same thing over and over. And before anyone complains.. sorry it is so long....
Daniels is the problem. They practice all week passing plays. He gets into the game with those plays. No idea whether it is nerves or intelligence but instead of throwing to a spot he throws to receivers. That is not how college ball is played. When he sees a man on a receiver he does not throw it because he does not want to risk the interception. In college most pass plays consist of the receiver still in motion catching the ball. Not stopping and catching it. This is the reason his yards per attempt are so low. He throws to the safety valve which alot of time is a tight end or running back because they are not moving or barely moving. Which goes back to the reads he is making. Reads are when you see a receiver single covered you throw to where they will be. Or anticipate where the safety will roll to and throw to the "covered" opposite receiver. He can not read a defense. Stop making this about play calling. This not a play calling problem. They go into the game every week with a gameplan of plays they have practiced that week. He makes the throws in practice. Easy when you dont have to worry about making mistakes. Goes into game and doesnt use his head. He is literally getting his arse chewed out by Kelly for not throwing the damn ball. One time in the game he made the throw he was suppose to. ONCE. And that play ended up having a pass interference call on it. You can not play quarterback in this day and age and expect to win at a consistent high level in the SEC and be a one dimensional quarterback that likes to run. Your better teams will spy him with a fast safety and contain him and you will be garbage. This is the stretch we are about to hit where everyone is going to do that.
The solution I have is simple and will aggravate alot of you all. Let Nuss take all first team snaps this week. Start him in this game against Tennessee. Ideally you would have wanted this to take place against a weaker earlier opponent but this is where we are now. You
know what you have with Daniels. It aint changing. Go look at game film from previous weeks and his time at ASU. If Nuss is not cutting it by the end of the 1st quarter go back to Daniels. This way you finally know for fact what you have. Worse case scenario Nuss lights it up or Daniels comes in and thinks he did not get to start because he was not throwing the ball and starts doing it. It has to happen now at the beginning of this game. You are out of time and have a stretch of games coming up that can kill your entire season and moral. Again sorry so long.

Thats because alot more needed to be said instead of...
Daniels is trash
or
Nuss is garbage, Daniels gives us the best chance.

It’s pretty simple. If he can’t get past his first read, just roll him out. If his first option isn’t there, take off and run. Having him drop back over and over is ridiculous.

Next time Daniels invites the wide receivers to Cali to play football on the beach he should invite some DB's so he isn't surprised to see them.

Agree with your assessment but not your solution.
JD still gives us the best chance to win, so I’d stop trying to force fit an offense that he is unable to run. Build an offensive scheme around his strengths. Yes, Boutte may just quit but he’s not able to do anything anyway.

Daniels is clearly not recognizing what he sees.
He wants to have a receiver open before he throws instead of anticipating the receiver coming open.
Nuss is either the real deal or not. That little poutty crap when head coach is talking to him may be a partial indication why Daniels is starting.

There is a reason Daniels has 0 interceptions and it’s not good.

Brandon Harris all over again. Practice Champion but when game time comes it is much harder. Daniels and Harris have the same affliction in my judgement... after the snap of the ball he loses thought process of where his receivers are who are not the primary read.
I am not trashing the young men but realizing their weakness. I believe this is why Daniels transferred here. Believe me, if we see it I guarantee he knows it and is looking for development.
Nuss I believe is better at this but for some reason is not a refined thrower and has problems sustaining drives. At this point that is also Daniels problem but he does have his wheels to rely on.

That's the funniest and saddest post I've read in a while.

Daniels doesn’t seem to trust his eyes when it comes to passing. I really believe he still gives LSU the beat chance of success I hope he balls out next week he will have to

Nussmeier has not done much to earn first-team snaps. And he shouldn't get them in practice unless Daniels is hurt and can't play.
Daniels is not a good SEC quarterback, but, at this point, he's better than Nussmeier. He is more dependable than Nussmeier. LSU is 4-1 because they've avoided the "Oh, shite" plays, which is something that would increase if Nussmeier plays.

I've been saying this up until last night based on a belief that he would get more comfortable and begin to trust his self and his WRs. It was more a "want" (in Les Miles speak) than a reality though.
What's it going to take to get him to cut the ball loose? If he can take tough coaching I'm spending the next week chewing his arse out every time he doesn't make a quick decision and throw. I'm also in the ear of every WR to help him out. I'm also switching Taylor and Bech. Bech can catch poorly thrown balls and can block as good if not better than Taylor. I know Bech is not a true TE, but he can do what a TE does. He can certainly play H Back.

You are right. 90 percent of quarterbacks coming out of high school have this exact problem. They have to develop this. It is why your great quarterbacks make throws before the receiver breaks or is even looking for the ball. ASU messed up Daniels big time. It is why he runs as much as he does. He did not get developed there at all. Coming to LSU he assumed he would... which is what has me worried...
Joe Sloan is considered a quarterback savant. Between all of fall and 5 games into the year and he has not corrected this problem I do not know what is happening. It should be fixed. Or noticeably changing. I am not seeing any development from FSU to Auburn. So knowing Sloan is good at what he does what is going on with Daniels?

He's not wrong. Daniels holds the ball to damn long, wasn't accurate last night at all, and isn't anticipating throws. Now I haven't been able to see the routes developing. I only got one look at all 3 receivers one particular play and it looked like all three wideouts ran go routes, with a back and TE underneath. I don't like Denbroc's scheme so far, but don't know how limited he is by what he sees in practice from his QBs.
