If Harris can't at least complete the occasional screen pass or intermediate route, then yes, plenty of wrinkles will be added.

I didn't think much of that. They've thrown to Fournette before

Yes, at 83 mph. It would have been effective last year but Harris couldn't make the throw. Maybe he has it down?

Would make an enormous difference.

Would be interesting. I've never asked for hunh..just speed it up a little and try to get an extra drive per game.

Two-headed monster: Miles was asked about the Tigers’ running back rotation and if Fournette and Guice could be in the game at the same time. “You can see Guice and Fournette in pretty regular doses. I think Darrell Williams will also get an opportunity to play a lot at running back. And, yes, I think you can see both Guice and Fournette in the game at the same time

Never gonna happen.
How can you people believe anything Miles says?

The key word was "could" be in the game. Translation.....NEVER

When Scott Long was at Practice and they ask them to shut down the Video Cameras and the next day Miles closed all the Practices Scott said they had the TE going deep down the middle and that they were completing the passes. IF the TE can get down field and make catches then that opens up a lot.

I would love to see some imagination from Lester, but this is just coachspeak.

You could also send Chark or Dural in motion and fake the hand off then toss it to LF or Guice on the otherside of the field with lineman pulling and WRs blocking. So many things you could do that we just don't and I'm not sure why?

We do this already. We just do it in different order. We hand off or fake to the running back first with the receiver coming past the QB second. It's not exactly the same thing, but it has the same effect.

We also run a play in which the hand off to one side is faked, then the QB turns 180 degrees and pitches to the tailback on a naked sweep.

This is college. You can't run everything because there's not enough time to practice it all. LSU's playbook covers all the bases.

it seems like LSU hasn't thrown the ball down the middle since the 2008 season.

No you can't do it all in one practice but that's what spring summer and fall is for. To implement and add to the playbook and get good at it. Once the season gets here you change it up a little here or there during the week so no one catches on. Problem is we do the same things everytime. Also there are many times when I know they are going to fake or hand off and if I can see it so can the defense. The body language changes and it shouldn't, there should be no way we can tell whether they are about to drop back, fake it or handoff. So they need to practice it all looking the exact same. It's confidence really and they need to all be confident in all play calls. GT

I was on my phone...must have auto completed. I don't have a clue where Lester came from. I thought I typed Les.
