go over a 1000 yards rushing. Shraeder for Mizzou is another one.
They've let us know all week. I guess they are running out of things to talk about when they aren't fawning over how cute Sam Hartman is.

Yes.

I assume the other one is Peyton Hillis, but I don't remember if he went over 1000 yards sharing the backfield with Jones and McFadden.

Is that the cornerback from Iowa? Which did you know a white hasn’t been drafted at the corner position since Jesus walked the Earth? Or in the modern draft, whichever is cooler.

There was a guy with an Italian name at Kentucky in the late 90’s who was really good. He probably rushed for 1000.

He never rushed for anywhere near 1000 yards at Arkansas

In a thread about running backs, where the kid in question was specifically cited, including what school he goes to, you ask this question?

It felt like they rushed for 1000 yards on LSU a couple times.

Are they talking about since 2000 or something? If you went back into 70’s and before surely you had several. Fun fact, Jacob Hester used to get psyched up by listening to Elvis “if I can dream”.

Wrong.

Correct answer is Wayne Jones, Mississippi State, 1973 season.

Damn, you’d think Major Ogilvie rushed for 2000 yards in a season the way he ran all over defenses in the 70s. He barely rushed for over 1700 yards in 4 years.

the whole post was sarcasm based off the OP saying a trivia fact that has been repeated over and over

the 70s.

Didn't they only have 8 games back then and postseason stats didn't count?

No, they’re talking about ever in the history of the sport. No one in the SEC period rushed for 1000 yards until the 70s

No there were 11 game seasons by the 70s, but bowl stats didn’t count

from 1956 - 1970, only 1 player in the SEC had a 1,000 yard rushing season because most teams used more than one back.

by the time guys started hitting 1,000 regularly, you were deep enough into the 70's that they were mostly black (Terry Robiskie, Charles Alexander era)
