Yeah, I know the feeling, but they are still dominating the offensive glass and making Duke shot jump shots. Effort makes up for missed shots and is the reason they are still up early.

3 point shooting is inherently "streaky" sometimes you are on point and they keep dropping, sometimes no

Our perimeter defense sucked most of the year which allowed opposing teams to knockdown uncontested 3s on a consistent basis. Duke on the otherhand plays defense much better. Eventually it was gonna catch up & MSU took advantage of it.

I saw it all season with us. We let everyone shhoot 3s on us. Remember that random dude off Southeastern's bench who hit like 7 vs us early on?
Defending the 3 was one of the team's downfalls.

Michigan State is good not elite... we played defense like we've never seen anyone ball fake or hit an open 3.
May have been a little better with Wade, but there was a very small chance we were going to beat both these teams.

They didn't shoot well the previous game before playing LSU either. Duke is hitting everything they throw up as well.

Yep. In the tournament, you have to play strong perimeter defense. If you don't, it will catch up with you at some point.

Going forward, the Tigers must improve on shooting the 3 & defending the 3. Those were two negative aspects of the squad for most of the season.

Duke is making them work for everything on offense, that's the difference. They're showing hard on the pick and roll and they're hustling to get back to shooters.
