Foucha - was targeted in coverage and seemed to give up one of the TDs on a blown coverage. Wouldn’t be surprised if we see Bernard-Converse moved back to safety along with Brooks. Foucha was good in run support but was bad in coverage.

Ward seems much better at nickel, where he can attack instead of being responsible for deep safety coverage.

He missed a few tackles, but diagnosed the plays well, just couldn’t hold on to Tank and Hunter.

When Ward lined up as Nickel, he was very disruptive. Knocked down a pass early and flushed Ashford out of the pocket in the first two drives.

1st drive of the game right after Daniels takes a sack, he targets Taylor in double coverage while Boutte has single coverage and is open on an easy out route coming out of the slot matched up against a LB. Luckily, he throws it at his feet and it wasn’t intercepted.

On 3rd down, Taylor gets open but drops the pass. Daniels led him a little too much.

All 3 plays of this 3 and out, Taylor lined up as a WR.

Sometimes he will motion through and block, but anytime he’s lined up in the H back, it’s almost always a run play.

We had success with a 3 man rush with Perkins as the spy. BJ regularly beat the tackles and Perkins had the speed to chase down Ashford.

Our KO coverage was significantly better.

One our first RPOs (that I noticed) worked perfectly in theory, both linebackers bit on the run, Thomas was open on his break with nothing but grass in front of him and Daniels way overthrows him. Kelly looks frustrated after that throw.

Later we ran the RPO again but to the other side and Daniels delivered it well to Nabors.

Right after that we do a designed play for Taylor with Boutte and Jenkins blocking for him. Ha

Baskerville looked great. Shed a lot of blocks and tackled well.

Auburn seemed to drop 7 on almost every play early. We had good success running when they did this.

We seem to run Boutte deep a lot, right into the safety for double coverage.

On the big pass play to Emery, they blitzed, which seems dumb since dropping 7 had worked so well. Bech was open too, just not as open as Emery. OL picked up the blitz well.

Another dropped pass by Taylor.

Back to the RPO. We ran this in the first half a few times but always handed it off. It starts off as a read option but the TE is running in the flats as a pass option as well. Daniels started pulling it. Seems like a nice play design as the outside LB has to run with the TE. Worked the first few times Daniels decided to run it.

Boutte hasn’t gotten open, from what I can see on the TV, outside of that one out route from the slot on the first drive. Hard to tell for sure since the camera follows the ball and it’s usually not going to Boutte.

Sage Ryan made a great play on the 4th and 10 stop.

Our best play was the read option. That’s when Taylor was actually utilized correctly.

Williams does a great job of getting that 1-3 yards we need on 3rd down. Very Hester-esque there.

Emery’s TD was on the read option play we kept running with the TE in the flat option.

We inexplicably put in weeks at LB after we go up 21-17 and he gets burned right away. The very next play his man gets the swing pass and he can’t get over there fast enough. We finally take him out after they get another first down.

Baskerville and Perkins come back in and Baskerville almost picks off a pass over the middle.

Bernard-Converse lines up at safety late in the 3rd, gets a pick, and they call a weak PI on Ryan.

Baskerville breaks through and pressures Moore on the Perkins interception.

Baskerville again attacking the mesh point and Ashford fumbles. Penn also played well with Baskerville when we would shift Perkins to outside LB or DE and play all 3 of them.

Weeks didn't have a good day
You never seem to hear Mike Jones name called much either

Told people this on here in August and got down voted. He had become a part time player with ARK due to his coverage issues. He can hit, but you don't want him covering folks solo

I thought Jones was the biggest problem after rewatching the FSU game. He seemed to play well in this one though (In limited time). Broke through the line a few times for tackles and I didn't notice any busted coverages or missed run fits.

It blows my mind that Baskerville isn't on the field the majority of snaps

Yup, story of his career plus it being his first game back. I don't want to see Foucha at safety unless it's a goal line/short yardage situation. Put JBC back there. Sage Ryan worries me as well. Ward, Brooks, JBC, and Garner have all been great to solid. Colby Richardson is fine, but SEC running backs run him over with ease.

Weeks looked really slow. Can't trust him in coverage.

I was hoping it was just because of his first game back. Not familiar with his history at Arkansas.

Hopefully this was a good experience for the DBs to stay in coverage and let BJ and Perkins chase down the QB.

I thought Derick Davis would get a lot of playing time early in his time here. I'm surprised he's been quiet. It is nice to see Ryan getting snaps though.

Having Boutte on constant out routes and going deep is the problem. Need to have him and bech constantly attack the middle with combo routes / slants / crosses / deep-in etc. if you can get them going over the middle it will open up the deep ball.
