We had less yards per game than Vanderbilt... The offense is as bad as it looked

Except I didn't pull certain stats to make lsu look good. I didn't realize lsu would come out on top. I feel certain a total of 7 sec games, out of a possible 8, gives a pretty good indicator of each teams offense, especially when lsu had the toughest schedule. Btw, I think Jimbo's team scored 24 against arky too, and it wasn't freezing and I think it might have been at home. LSU worst output, 19 vs state....Bama had 24 vs state. State has a damn good d.

No they didn't. Not if you remove all the games LSU didn't move the ball well from the stats. They were actually first.

Objective while removing a goose egg. Nice. Did you also take out defensive scores for all teams? Factor in field position? This is a nice cherry picked stat that certain people will use to defend this year's offense

Look, LSU had a pretty good season. It is good to be ranked high, and heading to a NY6 bowl. Orgeron did a decent job. However, there are issues that need to be fixed. I don't care what numbers you keep cherry picking, the issues were obvious.

Your other village idiots keep claiming that it was lack of talent. Yet, claim that next year the offense will be SOOOO much better. I don't get how returning the no talent guys, they claim we have, will result in a good offense next season. If they sucked this year, are the going to magically be all-americans next year? That's usually not how it works.

The village idiots also tell you it will be better because Orgeron has a top recruiting class. The recruiting class looks great right now (minus DL), but the ink hasn't been put to paper yet on anybody. Also, remember Fournettes freshman year? He was a physical freak, but didn't do a whole lot. Expecting Emery and Davis to step right in and be super stars (especially giving the way our offense operates) may be a bit of wishful thinking.

Anyway, are you going to tell us whose alter you are?

I don't think LSU's offense was bad this year, but where the gripes should come in is that it isn't good enough to propel this team into legitimate playoff contention, and the working minds running the offense may not be able to get us there.

It's exactly what you did. You cherrypicked stats that let you put LSUs offense at the top of the list.

I removed ONE total game. Btw...put vandy in the secw and play lsus schedule. Jesus. They played essentially 2 good teams all year in the sec, ga and FL.

Changes will be made, I'm sure, but considering that LSU lost 3 starting OL to graduation/early departure, 1 starter to suspension, and the remaining returning starter was hurt and inneffective most of year. In addition, they lost their #1 TE before the season, had zero productivity returning in scoring, with wrs that saw its most talented players as TF, and rbs that scared no one, a QB that has never started and had been on campus a short time, a new OL coach, and a new OC. On top of that no stability in the OL with lots of injuries.

I was coming to downvote another gripe thread. This is the kind of stuff nobody wants to hear. It was ugly but effective for the group we had at the time.

The problem with this season is we lost to the wrong teams. If at the beginning of the season we said 9-3 with losses to Bama, Auburn, and UGA a lot of people would have had more understanding. But instead we lost to UF and aTm in underperforming games to get to 9-3.

Lmao. Cherrypicked? I removed ONE game, ONE, taking away the most dominant team in college football from ALL secw teams. Even including that game, lsu is still top, or right at the top in PPG in the secw outside of Bama. You really are a sad individual. The funny thing is I'm saying I'm good if lsu makes a change. I simply pointed out that it isn't as bad as some of you try to make it. Have a nice day.

Whose alter are you? That's the only relevant question now, because you've made it clear you do not understand what cherry picking is.

I'm starting to think more and more that this is Ben.

There's not a single thing the LSU offense did well statistically.

You're using only scoring. The reason that slants to LSU is due to what the defense and kicking team did.

We were first in interceptions

We were first in field goals

We are around tenth in any stat involving moving the ball.

I mean...I'll withhold comment on Texas a&m, but come on.

In addition, lsu was a 3 point dog to a&m and only a 1 pt favorite on the road over FL. LSU had the lead in both games in the 4th quarter. I see 10-2 still though, in my mind. I refuse to accept the screw job in college station. That's great considering all the issues listed above, plus not having a truly elite d.

Yes. You've made it very clear in this thread that you see ONLY what you want to see.

If I wanted to cherry pick I'd have used OM, GA, a&m, an average of over 37 points per game. It's funny, instead of looking at this as a positive, you are truly pissed off that someone is taking a positive perspective on this team. It's almost like you are a fan of another team. Anything to shite on lsu right.

I'm not an Ensminger hater but it would be fair to take out those scores since it was 2 - 3 games worth of offense in one game.

Take it out for what? Its points per game and it did happen in the Texas a&m game. That score is also included in their averageaverage ppg.

Lol. No other teams played defense...I get it.

Honest question, what did you expect from lsu with no returning OL, no returning scoring production at all, a young and inconsistent unproven wr Corp, no elite rb, a QB who has never started and was with a brand new team, a new ol coach, a new OC, and on top of that major injuries on an already shaky OL. In addittion, lsu played some of the top defensive teams in the country. Probably 7 or 8 teams in the top 30 in total defense. Honestly?
