What statistic do you thinkthink total defense is?
Posted on 12/8/18 at 12:30 pm to RB10
They scored less regulation points in sec games than lsu scored. Ban bet?

Here's his post:

LSU finished #29 in total defense, and the same if you take into account yards per play allowed. Miss state and Bama finished top 10. The defense was significantly better than the offense, statistically speaking, as expected and as should have been based upon returning talent. But, it was nowhere it should have been with 3 all Americans and the highest paid DC in the game.
LSU did not finish 29th in yards per play. They finished 22nd.

Make sure you read the entire quote next time Ben. It helps you not look like a fricking moron.

We're talking offense, right? So you're only counting touchdowns, right?
ETA: You're the one presenting objective "facts" about the offenses. I'm guessing you've gone through and removed all FG's made when the offense started it's possession already in FG range.
Right?

What exactly do you think is the difference in yards per game and total defense, Ben?

What he doesn't realize is the OP claimed LSU finished 29th in total defense AND yards per play. This is completely false, but Ben is too fricking dumb to realize it.

No kidding there were problems on offense. Why do you think Vegas had us at 7-5? We had zero returning production, a new QB who was new to the team and had never started, a new OC, a new OL coach, and massive issues on the OL. Some of you think you can just flip a switch and be great. It takes time. I laugh when I hear some of the experts talk about OL doesn't matter, a good OC would just scheme around it. LOL. The problem is, as a defensive coach for many years, there is only so much an offense can do with a bad OL, and the defensive coaches know what that is and take it away. LSU could have destroyed Bama on the deep ball...it was there. The problem is bama knew lsu wouldn't have time. They simply took away the short pass.
Wise words for someone with so few posts to the board.

The vast majority of the literal shite that Ben types is completely false, so it should be expected that he’s too fricking dumb to realize when other people do it.

Last I checked, lsu scored 196 points in regulation in 8 sec games. A&m scored 193 points in 8 sec games. Of course, lsu did play ga and FL, while a&m played south Carolina and ky.
Btw, I stand corrected. Yes the defense finished 29th in total defense, and that put them third in the secw. In scoring defense, the defense finished 22nd, and FOURTH in the secw, behind state, Bama, Auburn. Like I said, good, not elite, and middle of road secw.

You've referenced chickens army about 5 times, but have continued to ignore the question as to how you know this to be fact.
I've been linked to this prestigious group, but it's the first I hear about it. So I would like to know how I made this army, but wasn't ever told I was in it.

My post was in response to you saying that the defense was 14th. Maybe you didn't claim that. If you didn't I stand corrected. You're still an imbecile.

You also stand corrected for claiming the LSU was 29th in yards per play. Let's not leave that one out.
ETA: You also forgot to remove the OT stats for the defense. Let's be consistent here.

It is 14th in S&P+ efficiency Ben. Again, comprehending what you're reading is key, Ben.
Enjoy

I wouldn't call it a prestigious group. Actually it is just a group of kids that don't even have real jobs yet, being used as trolls for chicken. Also, a few of his "friends" in the group. Nevertheless, people with not much going in life but a troll on a message board.

You aren't in it. You'd have to read at higher than a third grade level.

Not to mention the fact that if we're using total defense, why are we not using total offense? It's because LSU would be 4th in the SECw in total offense, isn't it.
You guys need to make up your mind on which stats matter and apply it to both. So far the OP has used:
- Scoring offense in regulation only against only SEC West teams, excluding Bama.
- Scoring offense in SEC Games only.
- Scoring offense in SEC games only, regulation only.
- Scoring Defense in SEC games only, counting overtime (Weird, huh?)
- Total defense in all games (Weird, huh?)
