The local NBC news affiliate here in Cleveland led with the story about OBJ and the arrest warrant. The head of the sports department, who also serves as the play-by-play announcer for the Browns, wondered on air whether OBJ was worth the hassle, especially with a new coach coming in. While looking for a clip of that segment, I came across this story, which details possible league involvement in the situation. It's a real shame that all this is distracting from one of the greatest moments in LSU sports history.

ETA: Hey, don't shoot the messenger....I'm just pointing out what was said. Personally, I love OBJ and love having him in Cleveland, but he really is his own worst enemy sometimes.

He may get fined for embarrassing the shield in public. People are blowing this up way out of proportion.

The security guard should have handled this like Suzy Culver handled a drunk Joe Namath on live national tv & ignored him.

OBJ deserves more then monerary sanctions from the NFL.

I'm thinking LSU may very well ban him from future games unless he comes out with an apology. All he has to say is 'I got caught up in the moment while drunk and I apoligize'.

*Suzy Kolber

That incident is important because it gave name to one of the greatest football blogs ever: Kissing Suzy Kolber.

Over/under on when its OBJ is in rehab?

I seriously doubt his actions were the effects of being drunk because I dont see anyone from LSU being ok with someone on the sidelines drinking. Its not like ushers are roaming the sidelines. Maybe I am wrong, but I have a hard time believing booze is even permitted on the sidelines of any venue. Hopefully someone in his inner circle can convince him to straighten up.
