We can talk all the shite we want, but that Ol Baw hasn't aged a day in 40 fricking years, and now he's got 12 million bucks to get him through the next 40

As much as I hate to see it, I just can't see them paying that buyout this year. Should they? Absolutely. But remember who we are talking about here. Alleva, King, the board. Do you guys really believe those guys could be anything but incompetent? Now if in 2018, LSU comes out and has a .500 or losing record in SEC play, or god forbid lose to another rent-a-win, you have to believe even they would see the writing on the wall.
Where we really run into an issue, which is why this is a lose lose situation for LSU, you're going to be going through a complete rebranding with a new head coach while you have that just loaded Louisiana class of 2019 coming into signing day.
It sucks to say, but it almost feels like LSU missed their window this offseason and will be stuck in mediocrity for a while.

The irony of the fan base that kills Alleva for making a hurry up rash decision wants to make a hurry up rash decision to fix his hurry up rash decision.
The right hire can turn things around and quickly. I would rather them take their time fire Alleva find a new AD and find the right coach then hurry up and fire O and hire someone else. Even if that means having to have O around one more year if they get the next great coach after that.
