O line; Etling

O line: holy crap wow what a turn around! They didn't just not get pushed around like babies...they dominated at times. Not the whole game at all. But they had some great moments and overall decent play. Wow with the freshmen to boot!
Etling: he is what we thought he was--decent. His deep ball and comeback throws were sufficient, nothing more. Chark dropped the game changer late--even if a little underthrown. And yes Etling had three or four straight misses and the one pic. But hey, he fought hard like always, didn't quit, and...I mean, it is the Bama defense and yet he had an honestly solid first half all things considered (short of the pic).
Bonus, Coach O: the Troy game really IS starting to look like Saban's ULM loss that one year. This ain't the same team y'all, mentally or by execution.
Frick it, I'm buyin'.

I wouldn't even call Danny decent at this point. His misses are bad, but when you include the stupid arse decisions to always go for the passes he cannot hit, it looks worse.
How many times was Guice WIDE arse open when Danny unleashed the noodle arm?
I am so sick of his limitations. Respect the guy for being a warrior and not quitting, but he is a Senior now and should know his game, limitations and all.

i kinda wanna upvote, but i kinda wanna downvote too.
etling is a horrible p5 qb. he's somewhat serviceable at best, like, not even fully serviceable, just sort of.
hopefully he is the last in a now long line of so-so qbs at lsu.
whoever wins the training camp battle between narcsse and brennan is who i'm pulling for. conjecture really doesn't matter. it's who we'll have (unless shea patterson gets a free transfer because of coaching change and takes it.)
i'm still skeptical of orgeron and always will be because what happens when he can't find a good co-ordinator? i will say i don't hate him right now, but after seeing once again how limited we are at qb, it's hard to criticize given that it's not the current staffs fault that etling is our starter.
that said, i'll root for LSU like i always have.
